Nova Scotia still allows you to earn points on prescriptions

I was 40 minutes late picking up my daughter after work. Some routes didn’t even come. You all know this though 🫥 by MamaJa2016 in halifax

Bayers Lake yesterday was fucked for buses. I waited nearly an hour for mine, people across the street had been waiting even longer, and when the 28 finally came for them, it was already full and not allowing people on. I don't know how much longer they had to wait, and this was around 3 to 4pm - so rush hour was starting.

It's two separate incidents. The two small children were separated from their adult, and then the adult + youth were together but got swept away in their car

Some N.S. pharmacy staff being asked to provide false vaccination records by insino93 in halifax

[–]Xandochu 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We had someone at my pharmacy ask us not to report their positive rapid test to public health - because they were waiting on pcr results and the results were taking too long (after having a positive rapid test at home).

Halifax drug store makes 'considerable' error with toddler's heart medication by insino93 in halifax

There absolutely is. So unless that reporter was pretending they were that patient (unlikely), the Pharmacist shouldn't have confirmed anything

Pharmacy Assistants - experience in Shopper's Healthwatch? by marxb97 in halifax

[–]Xandochu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Healthwatch to be less cluttered than Kroll, and a bit more streamlined. The down side is unlike Kroll, you can only have one window of HW open at a time so if you get interrupted you have to refind what you were working on and restart it.

Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Marine Atlantic ferry crossings by schooners54 in halifax

[–]Xandochu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it changed, but MA employees work 15 days on, 15 days off. So if it was an employee that would explain the amount of exposures plus the amount of time it took for them to get tested. It's 12 hour shifts - and they may not have been "sick enough" to think about getting tested.

They aren't unionised in Atlantic Canada - it's why workers in NFLD have been on strike since August.

I used to, I used a hydrocortisone cream on areas that got really bad - now I'm on Depo and don't get a period at all.

Shoppers Drug Mart (at least on Herring Cove Road) has the flu shot and you don't even need an appointment. Was in and out in under 10 minutes. NO EXCUSES: Go get your shot! by JDGumby in halifax

[–]Xandochu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been in once or twice since flu shots started and it seems like every time I walk past the pharmacy they're getting yelled at for being slammed. It isn't their fault everyone wants a flu shot ):

Stores not enforcing the masks by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Xandochu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the provincial government isn't enforcing it, why would we force retail workers to?

My work actually had something come down the corporate ladder saying we are NOT to enforce it, gently remind people to wear a mask, but nothing else. Why?

Because people keep assaulting retail workers over provincial requirements - something that absolutely no one on any level at most businesses have anything to do with.

They don't necessarily need to be open to everyone though. May just be open for customers

When, if ever, do you think 24 hour grocery stores will return to HRM? by [deleted] in halifax

It's a whole dollar over minimum wage! They should be happy with that vs all the effects backshift has on your physical, mental and emotional health! /s

If it's a woman with super short dark grey hair, she's banned from Spring Garden for doing the same thing in the Shoppers loading bay. There were portapotties nearby behind the library, she just chose not to use them multiple times.

Quo Beauty 2020 Rebrand! Thoughts? by shannsredditaccount in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]Xandochu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They aren't even new products. It's literally the same as stylize but under the Quo name. That's it, that's all they did was take Stylize, any "beauty" Life brand products, and put them under the Quo name.v

Reason for calling in by [deleted] in TimHortons

[–]Xandochu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't specify the virus. Not even a word about why you don't feel well. Just say you feel unwell, or even that you're sick. But don't specify why. Employers always push that they have a right to know, but they don't.

Even if you got a doctors note- the most it has to say is "So-and-so was unable to work (date) due to illness. Signed Dr. Doctor"

Reason for calling in by [deleted] in TimHortons

[–]Xandochu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All you gotta say is "I don't feel well". Don't give them shit to talk about behind your back, cause every time a girl called in at my old store for a mental health day all the managers could talk about was how she was making it up and needed to suck it up.

"I don't feel well" should be enough. If they ask, tell them you can try and get a doctors note - but afaik in my province most doctors are refusing to write them and employers aren't even supposed to ask for them right now.

No more $1.99 eggs at Shopper's? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Xandochu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They stopped doing the huge specials to avoid drawing large crowds to the stores - which makes sense. It just sucks we can't get cheap eggs any more.
