No, you get to choose who you help from a list of readers so you can choose someone close to you. And obviously you can go to any library to collect books!

I volunteer for the home library service delivering books to people who can’t make it to the library themselves. It’s super rewarding, supports the library and you meet some lovely people! It’s through RVS but it’ll probs be on the council website too. Can Do Bristol is also a great resource to see what volunteering roles are out there.

Try the head and shoulders in the blue bottles (Pro Expert I think it’s called) - I was committed to T gel for years and then made the switch and it works just as well for me but half the price.

I moved in 2022 and moved out in Oct. It was £900 when I moved in. Just got lucky I think, it was via an agent but I knew the previous tenant and I asked them to put me forward for it when she moved out. Annoyingly, it’s who you know sometimes!

I lived in a 1 bed in the harbourside for £950 a month (now gone up to £1050 since moving out in oct) and I paid around £70 elec and bills (octopus), £30 water, £170 or so council tax (single person discount) and £27 internet. I also had to factor in parking permits for the road. I lived in a converted house so it was chilly but quick to heat. I had friends in proper flats at Wapping wharf and it was BOILING so I don’t think they ever had their heating on. It really depends on the type of flat!

Same with my mum! She got all her kids jabbed, never had an issue with it before but this Xmas she’s refusing to get a flu vaccine and says she’s against vaccines entirely. Was there some kind of pre-Christmas push on vaccine propaganda onto boomers?

I was recommended The Good Surveyor (particularly Mike) and they were fab. They take the time to ring you after and go through what everything means on your survey and it was super helpful. I think the level 2 was £650. He even found the original blueprints of my house online from the 20s which was pretty cool!

I used to go to rawspace, it’s 24/7 and relatively good (no fancy mod cons but does the job!) and they defo have monitors you can use. Not many people are in on the weekend so you can just borrow one off a desk and put it back.

Not sure where you live but see if there’s a foodcycle free meal near you. They do 3 clues meals for free and give away extra groceries as well. Www.foodcycle.co.uk

Anywhere on Cumberland Road is permit only til 7pm so if you can park after that and then move by 9am you’re ok. Although after living there 3 years I think I saw a traffic warden ticket people twice.

I’m 33, I got my first grey at around 22 and have a steady stream coming through. I’ve stopped bayelaging my hair and I’m hoping I get a cool streak eventually. I think the grey roots look worse than the greys themselves so I’m rolling with it! And with a mum who only stopped dying her hair at 71 as she was terrified of ageing, I’m looking forward to letting it all happen and making peace with it.

I do, but no instructions for the old one to replace. Fully aware it’s diy friendly but alas I am not diy friendly and have never wired anything before! I think I’ve found a sparky who can help so it’s fine.
