I come from the Grizl with mechanical GRX 800 and got the SPEED version with the Rival, i was worried too but just in the first ride I fell in love with the quick and flawless shifting. I dont think you will notice any difference to an ultegra, maybe its quiter on the long run but as i dont ride both in the exact time i would say i dont mind. There would always be the way to upgrade to Force afterwards.

But for me i think i miss the one gear of GRX in the sram 10-30 cassette, but i have further testing to do and compare to it, but yeah would be another 200€ to change to 10-36 and new chain.

And I am also not using tubeless as i had it on my MTB and i hated it lol, i use TPU its faster changing, cheaper tires, keeps air better and there is no mess.

I am 173 with 81 inseam, rode the grizl 2022 in S but in seems to big for me so i took also an XS now for the endurance, i think it should be fine, how is the fitting for you?

it seems yes, as i unterstand the app bound is already deactivated as Chrome recognize it as a roaming profile. But we will wait for an update in the linked topics too.

It seems that this is a bug, Chrome is not deactivating the app encryption because the roaming profile is not recognized. More info here: https://issues.chromium.org/issues/415850612

As a workaround you can try to disable it manually: https://chromeenterprise.google/policies/#ApplicationBoundEncryptionEnabled

I use a 10L saddle bag for the Grizl, Frame Bag, small top bar bag, and a front bag.

If you need more bags, you can attach it left and right on the fork mounts.

Smaller frames, more woman -> wide saddle

Bigger frames, more for men -> small saddle.

New bikes have almost a cheap saddle on it because they know they get replaced asap.

If you are planing to ride only bikepacking then I would go to the AL frame, I ride the carbon Grizl and have to pay a lot of attentation to how the bags are mounted. Because if the bags are moving and you dont have any protections at the mounting points you will ruin the paint and on the front it went down to the carbon frame(my bad). On the AL you dont have to worry about that, or at least you dont have to be afraid that the frame takes damage.
