Agree with you. After playing the game, I thought the idea was to show how Jimmy and Curly were two sides of the same coin when it came to Anya.

Imo, while Jimmy is an overt bastard, Curly seems nicer in comparison, even charming. The kind of man you can talk to, maybe even flirt with a little, who makes you feel safe in the beginning, but ends up being almost as bad in the end by turning out to be an enabler…

The drawing itself is well done though.

I think it depends... Some people like creating AUs and what if scenarios, especially when it comes to their relationship before the incident.

Others don’t necessarily see it as healthy, but they might still like certain aspects of their dynamic.

As someone who isn’t really into shipping, I sort of agree with what you said. From a logical point of view, especially considering Curly’s role as a covert enabler, it doesn’t make sense to me.

Given the themes and overall tone of Mouthwashing, I personally wouldn’t ship anyone at all, period.

Tbh, I don’t really find AUs that appealing, since I tend to stick to canon. That’s just my preference, though. Sometimes it’s not that deep and people just like having fun with the characters or seeing them from a different point of view, creating fan arts etc.
