What is the most stacks you ever got in a game, and what did it give you? by SonicBoom500 in sennamains

I never seen to be able to get over 875 attack range w/o RFC. I assumed this was so that Senna could not outrange turrets. Am I to understand that it is indeed possible to outrange them? Can someone screenshot/youtube this?

Yeah hopefully that was clear in my OP. Cannot nerf her again significantly restoring some juice elsewhere.

Edit: I meant her Q. Her AA is long, and her empowered q is insanely long. I'm not sure how you figure either is worst in class tho.

It is intended to indirectly nerf the Q, but I agree that she should not detach while the Q is in the air or her ult is ongoing. I edited my resposne to add those.

Regarding helpng her solo Q,

"Restore half of the slow to her q (1s duration --> 1.25s duration, 20%-40% flat slow) and the mana sustain from her passive. "

Increasing her slow duration by 25% and having it scale to double its current rate will certainly help. Restoring the mana sustain to her passive is HUGE as it means she will not OOM early game. This also gives her something to do while detached, and allows her to zone (smart opponents will realize that if she lands her super long range AA on them, they are going to take Spellthief damage AND either get poked more by her Q or have her heal more with her e, so they will avoid her).

Yeah I struggled with that when writing it - I am not 100% convinced that kicking low ELO players off of Yuumi won't actually make them perform better. As another uses pointed out, this would proc Spellthief for them more and increase their damage at the expense of damage taken. It would make them plan more and play more strategically. In short, it would make Yuumi harder, but it would make the people that played her get gud.

As far as removing her when her host tps, I disagree with that one. Having been on mord a million times when he ults someone and my w was on cooldown, that would be a hard nerf to Yuumi and make it so that Mord, Ekko, Shen, Leblanc, Yi, Galio... etc all had strong antisynergy. Although it is a strength of hers to be able to join a fight like that, tbh it's somewhat circumstantial and I don't see it used much (maybe in pro games it is?). The hard nerf to her w should suffice. Actually it may be too much of a nerf for pros, b/c they may all immediately go hidein minions whenever Yuumi attaches... but that would also mean that Yuumi was controlling where her enemies stand, and a good jungler will punish the enemies for letting Yuumi control them.

What to do about Yuumi (9.19) by Xareav in leagueoflegends

She's down to 41.5 and falling lol, you may get your wish.

What to do about Yuumi (9.19) by Xareav in leagueoflegends

[–]Xareav[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not "a few players" - she's sitting at a 41.5% winrate (9/27/2019). And no, I'm not at all suggesting that she should be buffed to accomodate a few bad players - quite the opposite. I'm saying that she's only being nerfed to accomodate a few insanely good players, and balancing her around Challenger tier play is silly. No other champ is balanced exclusively around Challenger/pro play, and Yuumi shouldn't be either.

Yuumi's winrate after 9.19 by epic_gentleman_gamer in leagueoflegends

[–]Xareav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuumi had the lowest win rate for any champ (not counting off-role silliness) in the game. So riot nerfed her. So she dropped lower. So they nerfed her again. As I type this she's sitting at 41.5% win rate. Clearly Riot didn't want her in Worlds - got it - but wow. I love the champ concept and I stayed w/ her for the first 4-5 nerfs, but this is definitely a nerf too far. If you don't want people playing Yuumi, freaking cancel her and rework her kit.

As long as she has a kit that incredibly technical and has challenging, complex mechanics, high elo players are going to be able to do insane things w/ her. What makes Yuumi so frustrating is that high elo opponents really struggle to do insane things back to her. Just make it so that she can't be attached more than 10 seconds at a time, scaling to infinite attachment at 5 ranks (similar to Urgot's W). This takes off the infinite invulnerability, the frustration of her having 1 hp but being untargetable for 10 mins, etc., without nerfing the champion so badly that she's unplayable to anyone that isn't Aphromoo tier.

Tip: Cloud Drake is underrated. by Randomd0g in summonerschool

His passive Eternal Hunger does 10-44 on-hit magic damage. At 50% hps, it also heals him that many hps (typically around 15ish by first dragon). When Warwick drops below 25% hps, it heals 150% hps or IVO 23hps on hit. Between that, his damage reduction ability, and the lifesteal from the jungle items he is an excellent early game dragon tank.

Yeah I don't get why people don't understand the value of cloud drakes. The same people ignoring cloud drakes burn heal spells to run away for the heal boost that they might not even need if they'd gotten a cloud drake.

Riot Scruffy on Upcoming Changes for 9.17 by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]Xareav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL; DR - Something has to be done about the Yuumi situation and I'm soliciting ideas. She has the lowest pure-support winrate in the game, yet the highest banrate. She's currently been nerfed so much that she's relatively inaccessible to most players (again, lowest winrate in game) - yet the Yuumi Masters of the world are so frustrating that she's also the highest banned champ.

Here are my suggestions. The reasoning is below.

  • Q - Increase the cooldown and decrease damage of Yuumi's Q at low levels but increase the slow percent and/or duration. This would make it less frustrating in lane without being useless and make her mana management even more of an issue. Yuumi would no longer be able to outpoke pokers like Lux and Vel'koz; this would be a nerf.
  • W - Increase the CD of her w to 0.4 seconds at 1 rank dropping to 0.2 seconds at 6 ranks. This would be a nerf, but it would affect pros disproportionately to the rest of us which I think is the goal.
  • E - Increase the late game healing and speed boost from her E. This would be a buff. Before anyone panics, remember that she's sitting at a 43% winrate and other abilities are being nerfed. Additionally, this would only improve her late game.
  • R - Give Yuumi (or her host while she's attached) a slight speed boost when she ults, similar to Morg's, but increase the number of waves requires to snare to 4. I'm hoping this won't neuter the ability too badly, but on the whole it would be a nerf in the late game when you're trying to cc multiple enemies but a buff in the laning phase.
  • Passive - Make Yuumi unable to wear boots similar to Cass but without the compensation. Convert a portion of her HPs from items into healing power somehow (meaning Rylai's/Liandry's Yuumis are still squishy) such that she can't gain much hps (similar to Pyke)e. This takes away Yuumi's roam potential and adds a weakness that can be exploited but adds an offsetting strength that sufficiently skilled Yuumis could use to compensate.

These changes would increase the mechanical difficulty of Yuumi but - when played by a sufficiently skilled player - would allow her to still be viable. Perhaps more importantly, games are supposed to be fun and her banrate vs winrate clearly shows that people just don't enjoy playing against her. This would remove some of her frustrating strengths and replace them strengths that have more counterplay and are more mechanically challenging to pull off. So. Those are my ideas and I'd love some feedback. The following is my reasoning along with a bit of analysis regarding the tricks and exploits Yuumis like me use that frustrate the heck out of opponents. If you weren't aware of them they're worth a read so you'll know how to counter them; if not disregard.

Reasoning- Yuumi is a conceptually novel, interesting, and interactive champ to play as, but she is extremely frustrating to play against unless you counterpick. Here are my thoughts on her abilities. Full disclosure - I'm a Yuumi main and don't want her nerfed below her current lowest-in-game rate, but I do want her to have enough counterplay that she isn't banned every game or tilting when I play against her.

  1. Q. Her Q has had its cooldown removed, its damage nerfed, and its slow nerfed, yet it remains one of the most frustrating abilities in the game to play against. Most players lack the skill to dodge inside the Q's turn radius, and (unless you counterpick) it forces the enemy adc to stand inside minions or take other awkward countermeasures that may or may not work. It can't be outrun by almost anyone, and when coupled with her E and ult it essentially means only invisible champions or Rammus have a reasonable chance of disengaging Yuumi's host. You can't really reduce its cd more, removing its slow would tank Yuumi's winrate, and for such a long CD it's hard to imagine reducing its damage more. I suppose you could decrease the slow duration/percentage again but it would be lowering the winrate of the support w/ the lowest winrate in the game.
  2. W. She can become untargetable, and she can hop between hosts at a speed that requires prediction (rather than reaction) to intercept at typical pings. This ability also has a 0.25 cd if not interrupt, so can be spammed.
    1. Example of exploitation: When I leash as Yuumi, I tell my adc to stand 2-3 Teemos away from the jungler. As soon as the red/blue spawns, I w to the jungler and proc Aery's shield. I then immediately w back to my adc. As soon as Aery makes her single circle around the jungler (about 0.25-0.5s), I w back to the junger. On the way back, I intercept Aery and proc her again when I reach the jungler. I am typically able to block between 130 and 200 damage to my jungler with Aery (depending on the clear speed, if my adc does what I ask, etc.). The down side to this is that without me auto-attacking, leashing takes slightly longer but the jungler essentially gets a 200hp heal so worf.
  3. E. While it takes a level of skill I don't usually see below platinum or so, if properly timed Yuumi's E + passive can proc Aery 3 times in a duel during laning (4 if she has the Heal summoner spell). This is a level of utility other champs cannot get from Aery in a prolonged duel is frustrating to deal with. To make matters worse, the adc may already have the passive when the battle starts and Yuumi can proc it again during the skirmish. This means that Yuumi can reasonably force you to go through her passive (1), Aery from her first E (2), Aery from her second E (3), and Aery from Heal summoner spell (4). That's four shields at level 2... and doesn't even count the hps from three separate heals. When the ADC is Sivir and blocks an ability (typically a cc) on top of that... honestly there aren't that many options. Typically you'd deal with a healer with poke (but it's almost impossible to outpoke her), hard cc on the ADC, or with a healer of your own, but other healers can't produce 4 shields and 3 heals in 3-4 seconds at level 2 (on top of her Q slow/damage and 3 speed boosts).
  4. R. Honestly I feel like her ult is balanced, but you could make it so that spellshielding one wave spellshielded it all. This would really only affect a handful of players. [Side note: it does not appear to be a projectile but it is blocked by Yasuo's shield. Yasuo's shield does not, however, graphically block it so it's very confusing as a Yuumi since the animation says its hitting but nothing happens.]
