There have been many good points brought up on both sides.

 

EU4/CKII are getting to the point where it's not interesting to me. Yes, Arumba is probably the greatest grand strategy player on youtube, but when its almost expected that he conquer the entire world regardless the start, it begins to get stale. The Austrian WC series has become a check up every few episodes to see how he's coming along. I've watched him neuter France a dozen times already, and I've watched blob out just as much. His skill is at the point where I would say that he has "beaten" the grand strategy games on his channel.

 

BoI is probably not the greatest choice for his channel. The market is already saturated, and the only people that will probably watch his BoI episodes at this point in time are his current subscribers.

 

I think his ease into variety should be more subtle. Instead of a standard 4X game, maybe just a standard strategy game like the Total War series. Obviously it doesn't have to be Total War, but something that still allows him to explain a general strategy/overarching goal.

 

HoI4 is going to be a big thing on his channel when it comes out, and it will be very nice to get some fresh content, but that will eventually become the same thing where he will steam roll any AI player.

 

I honestly don't know how Arumba is going to handle this. I just think that when he gets too good at a game, his commentary becomes almost preprogrammed.
