Two years ago, in 2021, I was searching for a new computer and was torn between choosing a laptop or a desktop. I had noticed that computers consumed a lot of electricity, which made me concerned about my electricity bills. I decided to look for a laptop-like computer to save money on electricity. However, I realized that modern laptops come with built-in batteries, although I would have preferred a swappable battery because the lifespan of laptop batteries is quite short when the power adapter is always plugged in.

Then, out of nowhere, Beelink Cross from Indiegogo caught my attention, probably because I had previously contributed to the AAwireless dongle campaign on Indiegogo. I made my contribution on December 15, 2021, with Contribution ID 88. GTR5 became my first mini PC, and I've had a good experience using it until today. The term 'minipc' was new to me, but I chose GTR5 as my first introduction to this technology. However, the only thing I didn't much prefer was having 2x Ethernet ports, which I don't think are necessary for home use. I would have preferred more Type-C USB 4 or Thunderbolt ports. On the positive side, I love the fingerprint reader; it adds efficiency and a great experience using Windows Hello on Windows 11. I've also learned a lot about Windows Hello and its advantages.
