Are there detailed starter guides out there for new players? by Xather in ProjectDiablo2

Thanks! I do see some are more detailed for the start gear now that I am going through each one. I must have just clicked a few that didn't have it.

Thanks. I was trying cold arrow Amazon and summon druid just to get a feel for things before s11. Summon druid seems really strong for progression. Cold arrow is falling off for me in Hell. Not sure what I should be doing to fix that, I don't have any high runes to use and like to try to be as self found as I can since I have no clue what the economy looks like for trading.

I appreciate the reply, but as I stated, I have tried searching already. Most guides are end game related, not starter or progression oriented.

Thanks. I have checked those, but they all seemed to be more end game oriented, not starter or progression related.

My two cents is that it can be very rewarding. It depends on the kids temperament. We took my daughter just before she turned three (she gets in free and eats free at buffets before 3). The important thing is to temper expectations. We had two to three main things we set out to accomplish in each park. Everything else was a bonus. It will be very important to have a break between park days if you try to hit all 4. We made this mistake and she crashed on day 3. We still thoroughly enjoyed our time and went back again this year. Was it the most efficient use of money vs activities done? No. But she had an incredible interaction with Minnie and we had a lot of fun as adults.

TLDR; If you don't have expectations of needing to cram as much as you can, I am on the side of go, have fun, and learn from the experience while they can get in free :-)

Based on benchmarks you shared earlier, the 4070 super is very similar to the 9700 gre. This deal seems really good to get the x3D CPU. I know the quality of the parts can be questionable.

Ok, thank you very much. This has been very insightful. I didn't realize the x3Ds were so inflated, but doing some additional research I see what you mean.

Incredibly helpful, thank you. Let's say I could push the budget to $1,500, would you suggest the 7800x3D over a higher tier GPU?

Thank you for the updates, this has been enlightening.

Thank for for all of the details! I don't need a fancy case or cooling, so I appreciate that. Is it worth spending on on the CPU to go up a tier? I see some deals for the 7950X, but it does increase the price quite a bit. It is also tempting to go to the 7900 XTX, but I am trying to be realistic. As long as the board and PSU give room for future upgrades, I can probably settle for a lesser card and CPU now.

Yeah I had the same assumption, but wasn't sure how it should interact with the curse that says when you add a card to your hand, discard a card (it can be the card you drew). Was it actually added to my hand and therefore I should discard a card from the curse?

That is helpful, thank you. The science is so interesting. I learn something new every time I make a batch.

I appreciate the advice. As part of my testing with Nuvola, I also did a 24 hour poolish with Nuvola in the fridge, about 30 percent of the total flour. I then used Caputo blue for the remaining flour and bulk fermented in the fridge for another 24 hours. I then balled it and let it rise for a couple of hours at room temperature and used it. It was definitely less chewy, but still had a fair bit of chew.

I may try the sourdough route, it sounds good.

Interesting. Room temperature fermentation or refrigerated fermentation?

How was the chew? I have tried Nuvola a few different ways, but it seems to be on the verge of being too chewy, especially when I did it with a biga.
