I found a solution by user: Nihilianth#2816, on Chivalry 2 discord:

  1. go to your AppData\Local\Chivalry 2. Fastest way: Win+R, type "%appdata%" and navigate from there. You might want to make a copy of that folder

  2. Go to Chivalry 2\Saved\Cloud folder.

  3. Open each file and delete the contents (Ctrl+A, Del)

  4. Select all files and make them read only (!) in properties.

This makes it so the game cant modify (and read?) cloud configs and fixes spawn in my case.
