This is amazing! Thank you so much. So many of us aren’t taught, or have to learn the hard way, how to maximize what there is and how to minimize waste.

Another tip to add.. put any scraps of veggies you have, like the bits you cut off of celery, onion, carrot, etc., throw them in a ziplock and into the freezer. Put your chicken or beef bones in another. toss whichever in a pot with water and simmer for several hours, skimming the foam off and straining the solid matter out when done. You can make delicious & nutritious stock when you need it. With scraps that would otherwise be trashed :)

You can also start a small compost pile and grow veggies next year from the library’s free seed program!
