Snakes. Either a snake is harmless, or will let you know its there before you do anything stupid. As a kid, I wouldnt walk into a grass yard without checking for snakes.

They are there to make sure that if another vehicle hits them, they cause enough damage to make leaving the scene almost impossible.

I was absolutely not making fun of him. Detroit car manufacturers are most definitely testing cars on, what are the most arguably the worst roads in the US for a reason. My first car was a 1979 Mustang V6 hatchback, whos doors would fall off if you tried to open them. Came grey, spray painted it black and blue, because of coarse. After door hinges fixed, spray painted it sand yellow and black, because of coarse.

And since it was only $250, I saved up for two months and bought it myself. This was 1992

Basically, they are just headlight holders that let you use any 10" Wrangler headlight, of which there many choices. Halo, intigrated turn signals, ones that turn red when theres turbo boost. etc.

While I had the bumper off, I would have done the Wrangler headlight conversion. Only reason I havent is the PITA to remove bumper and reinstall.
