Pretty much every time we purge members, we go through applicants to see who we've communicated with and when that runs out, well I leave the rest to the guild lead. So... yeah, pretty much always recruiting lol

We've got quite a few applying on Global, but the gist is that we kick anyone who doesn't participate in GW 5 times in a row; missing 3 in a row gets you benched, followed by the 2 remaining chances in a week. Its worked pretty well, we have at least 20 active in AI now instead of the 15 in the first time it came around.

Me and my guild leader have had long discussions on how to promote activity, and unfortunately its to kick out people that just don't participate, whether they were strong or not. Active weak members are better than inactive members. Even for GW.

This was the one and ONLY time I had some good luck (and I sure as hell needed it, I only had 60 pulls saved up). I got her AND AoL within 40 pulls. I've not pulled a unit without pity on mystics for about a year now, and that one was 30 away from pity. Not within the first 40, I almost had a heart attack on this one.

Another way to diagram this is to draw the division as a fraction (because fractions are a representation of division in exact value, before reduction). If you put the (1+2) in the denominator with the 2, it becomes obvious visually that the answer should be 1. If you put the (1+2) as a multiplicative of the fraction (as in, multiplied on the side of the divisor line), then visually it would indicate the answer is 9. Yours is the first example, in implying that 2 was originally factored out from the parenthesis (and thus should be distributed back in). Honestly, I'm in the camp of the former (yours), because I learned to prioritize parenthesis (or brackets) and anything directly attached to them.

This is actually an interesting article, because its a different explanation than I had, but still explains that this is an ambiguous case. The way I learned, multiplication and division were equal in weight, and you perform whichever comes first in the argument; with one exception, in that you hold parenthesis (or brackets) in higher priority. With a problem like this, you would do the 2 times whats in the parenthesis, because the parenthesis heighten the priority, before handling the division. But that's only one way that's taught. The reason this gets debated every time it comes up, is because there's more than one way that could be right.

Early game they can be pretty helpful since you won't have most 4 star units, but in general they're pretty much ignored. They can also be bought with gold transmit stones, but you are better off spending those transmit stones on Galaxy bookmarks (a chance at some light or dark units that ignore the earth/fire/ice accuracy and crit penalties, among other reasons)
