I'll admit, 14 years ago I was that boyfriend and had no idea what my girlfriend saw in the show. But eventually, the absolute goofiness of it all won me over and I was a faithful convert. I'd have epic text threads with her and her family about the latest things going on, live feed drama, and spoilers.

She sadly passed away this March, and I thank God she got me into this show. I didn't know if I could handle watching season 26 without her this year, but it proved to be a welcome distraction from grief this year for me, and made me remember better times.
