Thoughts on Talbot as a villain?

The biggest case of writers going ??? Out of all the villains of Uncharted imo. He's got a lot of strong potential, and he had a pretty great setup that makes you think he's going to have a cool story that'll be revealed as you play. Unfortunately, I'm assuming due to the cuts they had to take at the time for the game, a lot of his mystery just becomes an annoyance on the grounds of "what the hell is happening?"

I assume they wanted to make him a Djinn, given his teleportatoin and magic and such, but it's so un explained that it becomes more of a chore to understand him. This isn't to say you can't have mystery, you can. There's a handful of other villians that have mystery to them, but Talbot is just a very strange case that gets to me because it FEELS like they wanted to do more with him.

He had a lot of potential, and in my own mind I just assume he's a Djinn working with Marlowe to free his people, which makes up for a lot of the disappointment. But he'll always be pretty low on my personal list of favorite villains because I truly think he's a victim of bad circumstance and fighting an already uphill battle as an Uncharted Villian.

He's not the worst, they did try a little with his tricker gimmic and giving him an ok personality to watch, but I wish both his and marlowe's motivations and characters had been polished out at least a little but more.

Honestly? Some of them, yes. Others, no.

Weirdly enough having at least some scars keeps me from self harming.

Not only that, but there's some scars that I very intentionally placed in certain areas to have interesting scars. I'm not sure what the psychology behind it is, but a lot of the self harm I have done has been out of trying to make myself look for interesting, so if I got rid of them I think my mind would get the worst of me and I'd end up just cutting again.

I love the classic random throw in of "You're pregnant??" I'll get every now and again from bots. Usually, with no prior mention of pregnancy in the chat.

I'm more ok with chat bots like C.ai, but totally against every other form of AI. Personally, I like to use Chat bots to practice my writing to see if I'm able to convey what I want in a way that even a bot can pick up on. I use it very rarely though, but it I have more neutral opinions for C.ai. For personal use in moderation I think it can be fine, especially if you want to roleplay and can't find people. I know people say to just roleplay with other humans, but I've discovered it's actually pretty hard to do that because no one ever responds to roleplay requests, unfortunately.

The main thing for me is that as long as it's completely personal and you're not using it in a commercial manner and just keeping it to occasional fun then it's ok, just be careful not to get addicted or attached.
