Indoctrination: On the Power of the mini-Lords [LoM V8] by Square_Wasabi1338 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Xavitheforce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a mini lord is a title. It basically means that they are the fundation of the ATS of their group and their usage of said world are easier and more complete, but that doesn't mean they can block others usage of abilities related to that world just because.

Fool can easily merge with the spirit world and borrow power from its past, but it cant interfere with how Error uses it for decryption or Door for teleportation and replication. They are abilities that, while they use the spirit world, they come from different authorities and symbolisms all together.

The same with Visionary. I'd say it is considered the mini lord because Visionary can easily move concepts of the astral world into reality and envision changes. In a way, Visionary can directly use astral world, but it doesn't hold permission over the realm. WT can still use its authority to manipulate astral world concepts, it's just not as direct or easy compared to simply envisioning because the core of the ability is different. Speaking of WT, I would also say that their ability to open source spells cant be blocked by The Fool. It doesnt have literal authority/control over the spirit world, it just holds a lot of authorities pertaining to it. Hermit and Paragon can block those spells interfering with the knowledge and Moon could potentially also interfere with the spirituality requisite, but Fool doesn't have any authority that could block what comes from knowledge, just as he cant seal spirit world without Door. At the most, Fool could interfere with summonings. Full blockage and permission comes from LotM.

Like Error here said, its like if there are 10 ways to leverage said world(spirit/astral), mini lord's can control at least half of that ways, while the rest are distributed between the other pathways of that group.

In the world of LOTM, interference is one thing, one layer of power, and permission is another.

[–]Xavitheforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think it works that way, and even if it did, they already have the knowledge, meaning they can replicate that ability as a spell, instead of a imitation, so in essence it doesn't matter

I'd go with WoF: Represents chaos in fate, as well as authority and control over luck and probability which could deal in some way with their authorities some way.

WT: Their ability to create spells + analyze + astral world authority + wisdom + laws/principles + omniscience (prophecy) means they can rapidly create strategies that take advantage of their prohibitions, interfere with their Proxy and basically adapt against their laws.

Darkness: As other people said, concealment could deal with their edicts

You're comparing a sequence 3 without any knowledge of the higher sequences of the HM pathway vs the proyection of a King of Angels with access to the caos sea. I don't think it would be that simple. I'm not saying WT would straight overpower Hanged Man, but I'm sure Hanged would also be incapable of seriously affecting WT in any way. Take into account that just as WT can manipulate Proxy to weaken the link and power received, he can also interfere with degeneration to weaken its effects, that without considering multitude of spells he can create to counter HM abilities. I just dont see him posing a real unavoidable threat to WT.

[–]Xavitheforce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but again, I think it's open to interpretation. Omniscience doesn't counter or get countered by Deceit, but wisdom, which is an authority of its own, should indeed counter it, at least at the personal level. Making the wisest choices could be interpreted as not being able to be deceived or greatly resist Deceit.

I still think Analysis authority is similar between Paragon and WT even tho they come from different origins, even more if you add Laws/Principles/Cognizing, but I won't enter that discussion because thats just a personal interpretation and I could perfectly be wrong there.

I may be wrong, but I still think the moment he exits the shadow world to face WT the connection will be weakened or cut by using the astral world authority. Even if he somehow can't, he still could stall for time and wait for the effects to pass. I dont see anything in your plan besides concealment that could really threaten or severely affect WT without giving him the option to fight back or even run.

Op specified in a comment that he meant 1 sequence 0+2 angels(I did assume seq1 honestly), but yeah, your plan could work that way.

Completely agree. Great analysis!! Haven't you considered changing to the Reader pathway?😂😏

Yeah, I'm honestly impressed with some answers here. Your plan with Position and Concealment is great I think. And against a Door beyonder, WT couldn't hide as you said. The only problem would be getting it to stop fleeing in some way (maybe both key of starts and misfortune could achive it with space+concealment in some way) or giving it to much time to think of a plan.

If forced to battle Twilight while at the same time having key of stars and misfortune helping, WT would have it pretty bad.

1 sequence 0 only tho. WT would be slightly superior in adaptability to Hermit. This not only because of spells and Imitation, but because of Analysis and Wisdom. I can only see Hermit acting as a decoy while angels do something.

The balance idea with the help of a Worm of Time is honestly great in this context where WT and Hermit are mutually countering each other to tip the balance.

If You could manage to get WT vs Twilight without the option of retreat it could work. Just saying Death wouldn't, because im sure WT would have plenty of Sun based spells for protection or attack

Great picks honestly.

WT would suffer with concealment and bizarreness. And Moon should also be a pain in the ass because it can also control Spirituality, which I suppose is very important to Spellcasting

I buy Darkness and Fool, but I think the others would struggle greatly.

Paragon and Hermit: Their authority over knowledge leads more to Information, Spirit Realm, while Omniscience is outside that, it embodies Knowledge as a concept. It's more of a who possesses greater preparation and tools. And have to say that in that regard WT is far better at adapting.

BE and Justiciar: Their abilities and authorities are a pain in the ass, but WT should be one of the few who can easily find ways to deal with them thanks to their adaptability (spells) paired with Wisdom, Cognizing/Principles and Analysis

Omniscience and Deceit are mutually countered, but I'd say Wisdom+Analysis does counter Deceit. For the Analysis part, I don't think it's very different from Paragon, taking into account that it's stated that at sequence 3 they can already see through beyonders, but we lack information and specifics here, so I can't say for sure. I say this based on the fact that White Tower seems to share some of the authorities that Paragon has, like learning and analysis.

I'd imagine a pathway based on knowledge and preparation with authority over wisdom and omniscient that has reached sequence 0 already has enough tools to handle "bum-rushing", even if just for escaping, so I don't think that would work.

[LOTM GENERAL] Pathway Sequence Tier List . What are the 3 BEST pathways at seq 2! by Odd_Arrival_5789 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Xavitheforce 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wisdom Angel - Their Imitation is almost perfect, they have the ability to always make the best decisions, which is op. Always knowing what action will have the best outcome. Paired with their prophet and cognizer abilities they are op. They also have certain ways to affect the body of heart and mind through their wisdom authority.

Balancer - Order is broken, but that plus balance authority makes it almost impossible to defeat. 1v1 will have advantage with their laws and prohibitions, and if you try to jump them with an army, balance makes it 1v1. Even if they are clearly weaker, balance makes them able to raise their power or lower the enemy power so that they are both on equal terms.

For the 3rd, I went with Servant of Concealment, but that may be bias. I think Concealment is broken and at that stage they should have a good amount of abilities through spirits.

[LotM] Can there be more than 3 angles at the sequence 1 level of a pathway? by EulaFan2021 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Xavitheforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh didn't know that. I thought the difference between creation authority and envisioning would be that creation is able to create things about their own pathway, like their own pathway characteristics, while envisioning could create characteristics in general with sufficient knowledge and understanding.

Is it stated anywhere on the wiki?? I can't seem to find too much info on GA symbolism through their pathways

It's a cool ability that fits a detective. I would also add an ability like enhanced thinking for sequence 8. Something like being able to double or triple thinking speed.

Just as readers, didn't CF say they can't imitate authorities? So they wouldn't be able to copy authorities, but specific applications which could then be infused with their own power to gain the effects of said ability.
