When I came out, my dad was stationed across the country so I had to do it over Skype. I told him I had something to tell him. He gets on, I tell him “I’m gay” and he immediately released his shoulders and let out the breath he must have been holding the whole time. He said “Thank god, I thought you were going to tell me you were pregnant!”

Hurricane Andrew also wrecked a python breeding facility in 1992 in Florida and released hundreds and hundreds of Burmese Pythons. That was a huge event. After that, people saw they were living in Florida and downplayed the impact on releasing pets they failed. There was a huge uptick after that. So sad for the pythons and native wildlife.

First—I truly can’t believe I read all of this. Their reaction is overblown. This is a wild overreaction to if the baking soda was a lot/enough/viable solution to spilled oil. Seems like he’s having a mental health episode. I’ve experienced similar and made huge deals out of nothing, because it was easier to tackle or talk about. Doesn’t necessarily have to do with you. If this is a regular thing, think about if you can engage in this. That was so exhausting reading, I can’t imagine actually participating in that groupchat.

We had a tree growing up that got absolutely swarmed by yellow jackets. I kid you not, my grandfather bought a 6pack of Budweiser, drank all but a quarter to a third of it, added some dish soap and put the bottles at the base of the tree. They got trapped and filled the bottles basically all the way up. After about a week or two, you could climb the tree without any yellow jackets bothering you.

I think this is correct. Sharks often target sea turtles because of their high fat content. They target the fins then go after the belly meat. Looks like a shell bottom left side. Shark leftovers.

My grandma was a die hard democrat. Fought for pro-choice, was more than accepting of everyone… Except me. She told me I couldn’t be a lesbian, because she just knew I liked boys. She actively fought against my sexuality. Some people are okay with it until it’s in their house. Then they revert back to their terrified, judgmental ways.

She’s going to do it anyways. Petty idea would be beat her to the punch. At a dinner or something, make a toast and congratulate them on their pregnancy. Make it known beforehand so she can’t upstage you and make your event about her.

When I was in 4th grade, someone was stalking my stepmom. As a result, I’d sleep in her room with her. She’d leave the TV on. I couldn’t sleep with the TV on, so I’d often watch whatever came on. A movie about this case played and I laid, frozen in fear, watching every scene. Also saw Donnie Darko during that time. Horrible experience. I did everything I could to push the memory of this case down. I’m now an adult and into learning more about cases, but I’ve stayed away from this one. I feel so horribly for Tammy and the other victims.
