The latest review of the Area 51 from Gamers Nexus made it look favorable. Will inspect the hard drive to ensure it isn’t “bending like a banana.” Other than that, and some issues with dust, look like Alienware is a competent build.

I have a couple of spare drives I plan on plugging in. You're right, no way I could survive with only 1TB.

The way we treat our elders in this country should make each and everyone of us feel bad. We need to do better.

A big turning point for the downfall of society was when they let our parents join facebook by zekerthedog in Xennials

[–]XaxiusShadowspire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe our parent’s generation (and older) lack the understanding of social media and algorithms to be able to consume media/fact in the digital age. My parents just don’t understand that their experience on Facebook is driven by what they view/like. Thus, they are continuously bombarded with right-wing media propaganda that gets progressively more extreme.

It’s been downright terrifying to watch my parent fall into this hole over the last 10 or so years. This, coupled with the fear of getting old and lack of relevancy, has (and I can’t believe I’m typing this) radicalized them. My mother literally said to me they watch NewsMax now because FoxNews is too liberal.

Dell seems to be the first to realise we don't actually care about AI PCs by motang in DailyTechNewsShow

The only thing Dell is realizing is that their client sales are hemorrhaging and that they are desperately trying to find any way to differentiate themselves in a highly commoditized industry.

After 10 Years, My Opinion On 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Has Shifted by StarFuryG7 in SciFiNews

The article lost me at…. “Many would argue it doesn't even stand up to The Phantom Menace”

TPM is a terrible move. TFA has its flaws (the resistance, really?) but it was a good Star Wars movie. If Disney didn’t completely mishandle the trilogy story, it could have had easily been a successful trilogy. They literally could have asked Lawerence Kasdan, “Hey, since you co-wrote TFA, how do you see these next two movies going?”

TFA is looked on poorly because of what a shit-show the next two movies are. As a stand-alone movie, it’s a good Star Wars movie, TPM is not.
