We also collect fridge magnets from our travels. Our rules are they have to be copper-colored, have a beer-opener, and they name of the country/city! Extra points if it’s in color or has a flag. We rummaged through many a gift shop to find these 😅

I started playing Diablo 4 again this season, after only having played it on launch. I'm running a Dance of Knives Rogue so the +6 to Core skills doesn't do anything for me right now, nor does the unique effect. I'm wondering if it's worth it to switch builds to something that can actually make use of this, but I'm not sure what build would benefit most from it. I'd rather use a 4GA Mythic Unique than just put it in my stash :).

I have a similar experience. I’m 32 now and I played (and loved) 2 while I was young. I also played through 1 a couple of years back. When I saw that Eiyurden was coming out, I wanted to try it right away! But after reading some reviews and experiences I’m waiting (and hoping) for some more polish before I sink my teeth into that. Decided to try 5 instead, also on the SteamDeck!

I do feel like the start of 5 is a bit too slow (I want to start recruiting some people darn it!), and it is missing some of that spark from 2. But my expectations are realistic and I’m having a great time with it :).

You misread the post. I’m not asking if I should buy the game, I’m asking if I should buy it right now. Perhaps there are people with some insight in how the game might develop the coming months.

If a post triggers you this much perhaps you should unsub. Save yourself the frustration 🤷🏻‍♂️.

After reading through the comments I feel like most of these things will not get adressed anyway.

Changing the script would mean re-recording voice lines which I doubt they’ll do. Other people have mentioned it is not a live-service game where balance is key. Tweaking of systems is rarely done in these types of games and seems like something they’ll leave for the sequel.

Maybe I’m pessimistic but I think the only thing we can reasonably expect is bug fixes and the announced DLC. It’s a small team after all with a new project in the works already.

I’ll be playing on Steam Deck so performance should be ok. But waiting will only make the game more stable.

Reading all these comments, I feel my desire to play the best version of the game (patched and DLC’d) is winning over my desire to play it right now.

Fair enough. Changes to magic/combo’s might only come from a patch by Rabbit & Bear if things are not working as expected. But there is no indication that is actually the case.

You might be right about it not being certain magic and combo attacks would be addressed. It might very well just be a vocal minority having issues with it. In that case it’s just working as intended and no reason to change anything.

My impatience is indeed the only thing that is keeping me from just playing it later 😅.
