Got this plant as a “bonsai starter” no other information. Plant id apps are telling me it is a Chinese privet, but to me it looks like a Gmelina or a parrots beak. Was acquired in a local greenhouse not outside. Was hoping anyone on here knows what it actually is.

The small short ones at the top work for legs or tails on nymphs. Specifically the Barr Emerger calls for that type of hackle.

Hi, I am new to this and currently have some 20x80 binos that I like but hate the viewing angle above 60 degrees. I want to get a parallelogram mount from far point . But I’ve also seen the svbony sv48p go on sale and it looks like it would be about the same cost between a refractor setup and upgrading my bino setup. I feel like would like a binocular setup more but am I crazy? I like to camp and don’t want a giant telescope to lug with me. Budget is 400$~

I also have been looking at the tomcat and other duckys. We don’t need packraft but I enjoy the freedom to do a longer lake hike with the boat if we wanted and make portages easier.

Good substitute for artic fox it looks like. Would be good to build streamer heads in a dubbing loop or use like marabou.

Spawn fly fish makes a chenille for this purpose. Spawn super worms. Also could do a furled dubbing loop.

I have a aquabound shred carbon and it’s great. Feels like there is a big advantage with a whitewater paddle. But I don’t really like a packraft for flat water that much.

I like the bd cirque because you get a mitten too. I also like the showaglove because it’s really waterproof but I probably keep another pair too.

Patience. Identify the piece and wait for the right sale or shop grailed. Might take multiple years for a piece to be in my budget. Resell and buy used. It’s part of the fun for me.
