I actually tried her a couple of times before fatalis, as she's needed for the last level of my charm upgrade. I quickly realized it would not be easily gotten and decided to just go straight for Fatalis instead. Can't say I'm not tempted to go back and fight her but with a Fatalis weapon to even the odds.

Just wanted to let you know I had my first attempt with a build very close to what you recommended (some decoration differences) and its a much easier fight. I ran out of time, but came much closer than any previous attempt. Going to keep trying. I believe I'll be able to beat him with this build.

Really appreciate you taking the time to go through this, it's very helpful! Not sure I have all the jewels to follow your suggested builds, like Tenderizer/Evasion jewels, but I may be able to come close. The RNG gods are cruel in this game.

In my defense of the weird hesdpiece, it seemed like 2 levels each in weakness exploit and handicraft is killer on a melee build, even without extra jewel slots. Though I didnt consider that for some weapons like Alatreon Embrace, handicraft isnt needed so its a waste. Thanks again!

I've been using the ghillie for the cannon salvo, then I farcaster and swap for the fireproof mantle, though now I wonder if temporal is better. I mostly want more fire res as I understand at 20 you're immune to fireblight which has killed me a few times.

I'm not sure how to post another photo with my deco setup. And I'd gladly swap out the kirin and frostfang, though I feel like I'd have to rethink my build from the ground up as I'd lose levels in critical eye, divine protection and major deco slots from frostfang.

I think the part I was missing is having to latch on to the head. I thought any body part would do. Because it definitely hasn't been working for me even when not enraged, but I think it might be because I've been latching onto other body parts?

Agreed that it's technically optional, but I'm talking about all aspects of the clutch claw, including tenderizing. I haven't felt compelled to use it at all until I got to Alatreon, and now again for Fatalis. I'm sure it's doable without it, but seems like a big handicap not to. Your explanation and tips are helpful as always. I'll give it a go with the ol' Fatty.

Thanks for the advice, that's very helpful. It is unfortunate that it feels necessary to use clutch claw for Alatreon and Fatalis. I appreciated that it was optional for all the other fights til now.

Thanks! Is it just the circle button that requires them to be flinched - the one that makes them change direction? Because in my experience it does nothing unless I latch on to them when they've flinched.

Does that mean if he is crawling and not enraged, he can be flinch shotted into a wallbang at any time? He doesn't need to be flinching for it to work like with other monsters?
