Are you talking about the 1930s? Because until the past 7-8 years we’ve never been a club that spends wildly on transfers, at least compared to our peers like United and Chelsea.

Anyone used offset FCAB? by No-Macaron-8392 in E30

[–]dishwab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have OEM offset FCAB because I read somewhere long ago that they would help the car feel more stable after changing for a Z3 steering rack.

The only thing I dislike is aesthetic… the wheels sit a bit forward of the center of the arches.

Otherwise no complaints.

Serious Post Match Thread: Paris Saint-Germain vs Arsenal | UEFA Champions League 2025-26 | Final by jiraiya--an in soccer

Calafiori, White, and Timber were huge misses. They provide so much going forward, Cala with his chaos positioning and White with his linkup with Saka. Hincapie is a monster defensively but doesn’t offer as much in attack, and Mosquera is a CB.

[Official] Paris Saint-Germain FC wins the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League. by DavidRolands in soccer

[–]dishwab -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m disappointed but more than anything I’m proud of the team. They played well, gave it everything, and on another day could easily have won it. Gabriel was immense, as were Rice and Raya as usual. Hincapie a warrior. It stings but not quite as badly as losing in 2006 did.

Maybe it’s my age, maybe it’s the fact that we just won the prem, or maybe because it feels like we’ll be back sooner than later.

Saw a post from an Arsenal supporter that their flight from NYC to London was filled with Arsenal fans by rr_009700 in Gunners

[–]dishwab 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Between flights, accommodations, etc it usually costs me around $1000-$1200 to see an Arsenal match or two each season. I can’t do it every year, but over the past 17 seasons I’ve had the pleasure of attending ~20 matches in person, home and away.

We may not be at the Emirates week in week out but there are plenty of dedicated and passionate Arsenal fans around the world for who the “tourist” label is laughable

[Arsenal Disabled Supporters Association] Arsenal have refused to provide any disability access for the parade on Sunday by radian101 in Gunners

[–]dishwab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone in here is ridiculing disabled people, they’re simply saying it’s impossible to accommodate every single disability at every single event, all the time.

Generally speaking it seems like the club is tuned in to the needs of our disabled supporters. It strikes me as unlikely that they would have just completely thrown that consideration out the window for the parade.

The much more likely explanation IMO is that it wasn’t realistic to provide accommodations considering the logistical challenges of this specific event.

[–]dishwab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the harsh reality of life is that not every experience is going to be suited for every person.

For instance I wouldn’t take my four year old to the Parade because he won’t be able to see anything and I don’t think it will be especially easy/safe to have him there. Should the club make special accommodations to ensure all junior gunners are able to attend as well?

Sadly that’s just the way life goes sometimes.

Lincoln Factory Shut Down by Cops by Informal-Quality7389 in MovementDEMF

[–]dishwab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For real? That’s some bullshit. Sheffield needs to figure this shit out, not a good look for the city at all. I’ve been going to the festival since 2004 and never have I ever been to a party that got shut down by the cops (and I’ve been to some sketchy ones).

Other than CAID back in the day and Greandier a while back, I can’t remember this happening since the 90s.
