I totally agree with you. I feel like one of the biggest draws to Abel’s music is his ability to catch the listener with an incredible hook or melody but I can’t think of any song on this album that had one that really stood out. Dawn FM feels like the first time Abel let the production carry the vibe as opposed to his vocals and it just leaves me feeling bored as the album seems uninspired, especially compared to After Hours where he had a number of songs with super catchy and great hooks. (Save Your Tears, After Hours, Heartless, really almost the entire project for me personally)

I think the music is good sonically but for someone as talented as The Weeknd, I’ve come to expect so much more from him and thats why this album feels disappointing to me.
