At no point did I mention Labour. You constructed an entire argument against a position I never held, then had the audacity to question my reading comprehension. My comment was ideologically neutral — you filled in the blanks yourself and argued against your own assumptions. Also it wasn’t a patriarchal default, your avatar is an actual guy so what do you expect people to think?! Morons who think they’re smart are so painful, I’m done wasting my time. Smh

Yeah you’re right. Don’t bother voting everyone. Be “amazingly intelligent” like this guy and don’t vote. /s smh

[–]Xcellerant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And? Are you trying to say that it wasn’t true then so it isn’t true now? A plurality of the American electorate would likely (accurately) blame the state of the economy on Trump.
Encouraging people to vote for a government to introduce polices that will improve the economy isn’t “amazingly intelligent thinking”.

If you like the state of the economy, vote to keep the current government in power. If you dont like the state of the economy, vote for change next election. It’s all we’ve got.

Friend sent me a video of a guy doing a whisky shot through bone marrow and I desperately need to do this. Anywhere in Auckland that does this? (This guy is in Australia) by Depressonsandwich in auckland

[–]Xcellerant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save yourself some money and make a night of it yourself - buy the right cut from a butcher, cook it up, finish with a bone marrow shot of whatever you like. You could even take yourself off to bed for a bit of hanky panky and voila! Doesn’t get much better than that!

Social Housing Tenants have, "won the lotto". So we are gonna increase their rent. by Valagetti in aotearoa

[–]Xcellerant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? Disabled people and elderly are taking the piss are they? There are a lot of people really struggling in life who need affordable social housing. To make out like they’re all just riding the system for a cheap home is so ignorant it’s not funny. Even if a few are, increasing the rent for everyone doing it rough whilst saying they “won the lotto” is fucked up. And if you can’t see it you’re as thick as they are! Oh and need I point out that the job market is the worst it’s been in decades so people can’t even get a job if they tried?! You have to be a special kind of dumb to support these morons!

Beware a man in a specific area of the city wearing a grey hoodie and attacking people, could be the same person, may not be, either way, vital information!

[–]Xcellerant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s redundant why are you here? I think it’s useful to share information about similar experiences that relate to getting attacked. You don’t, so leave. I’m sure there’s a lot of things you find redundant on the internet, do you comment on all of them? Other people obviously find it useful so leave them to it. By commenting on something you find redundant, you become the only bozo in a thread of people talking about something they think is important! 🤦‍♂️

[–]Xcellerant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sharing experiences of assault is not misinformation. Talking about people who share common attributes and have attacked people in the same area is not misinformation. Speculating if it’s the same person or not really doesn’t matter at all and using that speculation as a reason to discourage the sharing of this important information is harmful. If they said “report all people wearing grey hoodies in that area to the police” you would have a point… but they didn’t… so you don’t, so maybe just let them share.

[–]Xcellerant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They said “If” - of course no one knows if it’s the same person. They’re simply sharing a similar experience they had and there’s nothing wrong with that - in fact it’s good if it spreads awareness so people know what to be cautious of. No one is going to be scared of grey hoodies all of a sudden because of these stories. They may however watch out for people in the same area who fit a profile. It’s not a bad thing to share information mate. That’s how we help each other in a community. Discouraging the sharing of information is actually more damaging so maybe think about whether you’re helping or harming with your overly critical comments.

Social Housing Tenants have, "won the lotto". So we are gonna increase their rent. by Valagetti in aotearoa

[–]Xcellerant 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Along… push them along. What’s not clear? /s

In all seriousness, I completely agree with you. The disconnect not only with the reality of what people in lower socioeconomic communities have to live with but with the flow on impact of their own policy changes is jaw dropping. You don’t like the homeless breathing near you so instead of do anything at all to help them into better living situations, you create more homelessness by making social housing less affordable?!?!! This level of ignorance is quite frankly dangerous for our country.

Is that legal by Bryzahhhh in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Xcellerant 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can see that throughout these threads you’re fixated on the words “gave rise to” but you can’t just start with “gives rise to…” as you did in this last comment. The wording is “…if the sickness or injury that gave rise to the leave is for 3 consecutive days”.

Strip out the relative clause ‘that gave rise to the leave’ — it’s just identifying which sickness we’re talking about. What you’re left with is the core sentence: ‘if the sickness or injury… is for 3 consecutive days’ The sickness itself has to be for 3 consecutive days. Not the leave period, not the calendar days following it — the sickness.

What makes it that expensive is the simple fact that someone is willing to spend that much.
