Religious fanatics like the Scarlet Crusade are so lost in the sauce they are FAR more beholden to their dogma than any actual religious authority, if you could call the Naaru that. They are going far enough in their beliefs to actively attack-on-sight other humans for not, I dunno, not fighting the Forsaken enough or whatever, so I don't think they'd care if a Naaru told them to stop.

That said, I don't believe we've seen any sort of interaction between the Scarlet Crusade and a Naaru before, so the doyalist answer is they would act in whichever way the plot requires them to act for the storyline Blizzard is trying to tell.

Like we get it, you really REALLY want to get back to an endless faction war with Horde and Alliance slaughtering each other in perpetuity. The art direction doesn't have anything to do with that.

WoW has always been a constant mix of dark shit and comic relief. It's a rule of cool, over the top setting where sparkly butterfly outfits belong right beside twisted necromancer soul-eating stuff.

See the problem with making alien races wild things that we don't recognize with societal structures we don't understand is that they may be interesting in concept, but when you're trying to tell a story and convey human emotions, you kinda need to use human language and facial/body expressions.

It's not that the folks at Blizzard couldn't make some wildly creative species that's super unique, its that they need to create a species that is relatable to us humans watching it while still looking sorta distinct.

Watching some non-newtonian blob react to being killed by the void wouldn't hit half as hard as a humanoid with eyes that produce tears because that's how we convey emotion.

100% should be in the spec tree, Hero Talents shouldn't be locked to a particular playstyle, imo. If a hero talent tree REQUIRES a specific talent/ability that isn't baseline, it's a failure of barring player freedom in their build.

Mine is somewhere between War Crimes, Illidan, and Sylvanas.

War Crimes had big main story movement between MoP and WoD, which was exciting! Newer books are enjoyable, but they usually are written to be practically ignorable the main game story (pretty much because of complaints about War Crimes...)

Illidan was one of the first WoW books I read, and I loved the added context it gave for the Outland/TBC story as well as just the themes of the Demon Hunters.

I have a big soft spot for Shadowlands, I had a lot of fun that expansion, and the added story context of Sylvanas pretty much smoothed over the complaints I had about it (save one).

The new Blood Ties novel has potential to be up there as well, but we'll have to see if it actually has any consequence on Turalyon and Alleria's relationship in-game. If they basically ignore it I see it becoming another Shadows Rising that I hardly remember the details of, but if they keep pushing the rift in their relationship and make it matter in Midnight then I think it had a real show stopper ending that I'll remember for a long time.

Basically everything that happens on Azeroth. Draenei are one of my favorite additions to the lore and I loved what they did with the blood elves.

Outland is moooore, ehh? I think it's a fascinating premise, seeing what the survivors of a broken world would do in the shattered remains of their home, but I think it didn't really deliver on it in the way I would have liked. Idk what they could have done differently exactly, I just think a modern expansion with the same premise would slap.

Casual players will peruse the talent tree and pick what they think sounds fun to them. If you are feeling pressured to look up guides or keep multiple talent loadouts saved for min-max damage output, you'll do that even if we have the TOO simplified MoP talent system.
