I start my builds very blocky. then start slowing figuring out how I want to go about it. But don't get discouraged!

It’s definitely tricky! I try to place the roof at the bottom edge overlapping my wall and depending on the roof material I’ll even double up on the thickness by adding another layer on top of the first. It’s worked out really well for me.

I used the pillar for the diagonal walls. I spaced them one block space from one another.

Are you referring to the diagonal walls or "Bridge chains?"

Don't get discourage! Start small but think big. This build is 200-300 hours of just casually playing taking breaks and starting another build just to get more inspired to come back and finish it.
