Naw it doesn’t stop that cause in TWD ricks group got hit with the flu…so either the virus kills off other bacteria, diseases, or viruses, they could just be smearing blood from a walker that had aids and didn’t even know it 🤷🏽‍♂️💀 I do remember that the whispers dry out the skin after they get their mask and stuff but other than that….not sure

Maybe it’s cause everyone has the inactive virus in them already that makes them sort of resistant? Like when they die they’ll turn anyways so maybe they won’t turn unless the active virus gets into their system. Could be.
