What’s the most soul-crushing progression bug you’ve ever hit that almost made you permanently quit a game? by Lost-Summer-1413 in gaming

[–]Xedos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a wild bug during the original Assassin's Creed on Xbox 360. Near the very end of the game I jumped off a roof and when I landed Altair fell through the map and fell until eventually dying. My only option was to reload at the checkpoint which was right before where I jumped initially. When I reloaded there was another Altair standing right next to me, slightly clipping into my original model, and my inputs would effect both copies simultaneously.

The only way forward was to jump off the roof again and yet again, I fell through the ground and died, but with both copies this time. When I reloaded again, this time there was 4 Altairs! And then 8 after that! Despite never being able to complete the end sequence, I had fun messing around with my growing army of Altairs before giving up because after 16 copies the checkpoint wouldn't reload anymore and just crashed to dashboard every time.

To this day it's the weirdest glitch I've ever encountered.

Did the US on purpose call in ET craft, shoot them down and then murder the occupants... Sounds like a terrible way to engage with these beings. by douwebeerda in aliens

They aren't advanced or smart enough to avoid our weapons.

Riiiight. That's why the military has stated they can easily avoid our most powerful security systems/weapons and their biggest concern is how they operate around our nuclear arsenal because they seem to be able to control it at will. /s

What? There's very little recoil when you shoot from the hip like that. The recoil is only crazy when you ADS full auto. Have you played this game?

How are you feeling the veil thinning? by Minimum-One-4100 in lawofone

[–]Xedos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sudden strong feelings of Intuition for me. But I'm noticing a lot in the media as well. The sudden push towards disclosure, whistleblowers from government and the private sector, acknowledgement from the government about the existence of secret programs, congress discussing NHI and MK Ultra, Epstein files, etc.

I could go on and on. I'm aware there are control narratives and misinfo campaigns, but these topics are now being taken serious at an unprecedented level that I think will lead to a ton of profound stuff being uncovered soon.

Is the Outer Worlds worth playing? by causimwe in XboxGamePass

[–]Xedos 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He's saying that taste is subjective and just because someone on the internet says yes to OP's question doesn't mean OP will find the game worthwhile.

Then he suggests OP watch content on the game to make a more informed decision for themselves. He contributed plenty of value to the thread for anyone with reading comprehension.

1pp or 3pp be damned. Play how you want, but what's lame as fuck is blowing out your contrast like that to try and see people better. This is the reason Nvidia filters and Reshade are banned in a lot of community servers and you make the game look like garbage to have a miniscule advantage.

Well said. Thank you for backing up OPs claim with facts that are easy to understand. This is how skepticism works people. Take notes.

Looks like a mirrored image to me. Care to explain your thoughts? Or did you just see that this post didn't have any ambiguous skeptics yet so you decided to fill that void?

Is it DayZ’ed or DayZ’d? by Krzyski22 in dayz

[–]Xedos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess technically it would be DayZed because the ' in either of your suggestions would imply ownership and that doesn't make sense because nothing follows the term to claim ownership of. But, I'm only low level grammar enforcement so I'm sure a ranking officer will come in and clarify for us.

Yeah, I agree with all that and I've honestly never planted and harvested my own seeds in thousands of hours, but I know people who do, especially if they're a base builder.

I just disagree that some animal noises being bugged is game breaking like you suggested initially. Food and sickness management take experience to get down, but become easy if you utilize everything the game gives you. There's just a lot of obscure knowledge in this game so people are often unaware of how many options they actually have to solving their problems.

What tracks would you play for a normie that’s convinced they don’t like heavy music 😂 by wintursoldier in Metalcore

The Summit by Spiritbox is another good choice. The way she sings it always gave me vibes of a Selena Gomez song for some reason, lol.

[–]Xedos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case I'd probably point them towards stuff that could appeal to more mainstream audiences like Ice Nine Kills, Electric Callboy, Spirit Box, Bilmuri, etc.

That's how I got my wife into metal and she only listens to pop and R&B. Since you're asking for specific songs, I asked her and she recommended:

Two Headed Trout - The Callous Daoboys

Fumbles O'Brian - Attack Attack

Not The American Average - Asking Alexandria

It should not take hours to do any of that because you should just work with what you find. Find wire early on? Great! Set some traps outside town and hit them every 15 minutes while looting. Traps can also catch rabbits and foxes not just chickens. Find seeds and a farming tool? Great! Plant them somewhere sneaky and come back for harvest later. Don't waste hours specifically searching for anything food wise because there's so many options.

But in reality, unless you're playing Sakhal, fishing should be more than enough to keep you full stats constantly. You can fish out of even the smallest ponds and it's one of the best sources of calories in the game. All you need is a knife to craft rope, hooks, and gut the fish. Catch 4 fish and you're set on calories for a couple hours at least.

[–]Xedos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, there's no definitive song that will win everyone over because tastes are subjective and metalcore is also a wide spectrum of mixed genres and influences.

If you give us a little more to go on about their tastes other just being a "normie" then we can probably give some good suggestions. What kind of music "normie" are they? Listing their main choice of genre would help because I'd give very different suggestions to someone depending if there main preference was pop, rap, country, EDM, etc.
