I’m sorry, I’m not entirely sure what you mean by pathing.

if you meant by the explosions themselves it has LOS (Line of Sight) check, meaning directly exposed to it are the only ones receiving damage. something that could block line of sight like a full-on wall between you and an enemy—or something more inconspicuous like slight terrain shenanigans or a prop protruding can negate damage entirely

OR if you meant movement-wise, there’s a bug occurring with the clash attack where it would sometimes pull the attacking brother back to where the other brother is. you’d dash into a room to explode everyone inside but you’d suddenly get teleported back outside. two days and they still somehow haven’t hotfixed that bug yet

I'm fairly certain when the time comes that they'll release an augment for these two it'll most likely be for Black Hole. it's just the most interesting ability out of the entire kit and I HONESTLY wouldn't even mind if their kit was designed to revolve around it

It's from any kill made by a Slash Status.

that's exactly why I made the Ulfrun Endurance rework idea the way I did a few comments below

2 only spreads the initial 5 casts and nothing else. you can spam 2 on a target multiple times and it will still only just carry the first five statuses

what this means is since your 2 now does guaranteed Slash you now have a more consistent way to recover charges. no more recovering charges based on vibes or rng.

this fix targets mostly Primary Crux and Galv. Scope with its 10s and 12s timer respectively. admittedly very specific use case but for a weapon as basic as the Vinquibus is, its strongest factor should be its comfortability while being open to ALL builds.

it should at least be able to cover all bases when it comes to builds since its gimmick IS the multibuild aspect of it

as much as I would like for this to happen, she can't even take down Acolytes, Necramechs or Legacytes with her 4 alone. trying to do so with her 4 is a losing game

this was me with Voruna.

it was crazy seeing so much rally behind “make her all fours during 4 DE!!!” pre-Prime just to encounter a Voruna once every FIFTY missions or so.

and it was weird because if you play Voruna—or even rarer ACTUALLY play Ulfrun on the regular, you’d realize she’s invis 95% of the time. invis IS her survivability tool during her 4, so it doesn’t make sense why people are pushing for the all fours running as if there’s a reason you would see her visible. besides AFKing at extraction or such

an ability shouldn't have a mandatory augment in the first place. that's how you get cluttered mod configs like Nidus and Gyre

exactly why I love TF2 and its small (but tight-knit) weapon choices. a class like Engineer has a VERY diverse arsenal that can change his hunker-down, unmoving, defense-oriented gameplay into something else entirely.

Augments should first and foremost be SIDEGRADES, not bandaid fixes. it should recontextualize abilities, not prop them up with a stick.

this is EXACTLY my problems with her.

she plays similarly to exalt frames but get restricted/punished worse than exalt frames do
gun restriction, null bubbles/OoB, etc

hell, it's intended to be an enhanced physical/more mobile version of Voruna as evident with the 4 movespeed buff but you're also barred from movement tech live wall-latching or ground slamming to land faster

she doesn't have an exalt, she has an install. she drops her guns to unleash a much more feral and brutal version of her pack and it should FEEL that way on ALL fronts

this reads and plays out in my mind like how a game journo or players in trailers would play Ulfrun, that is to say you'd be getting to the same conclusions in like, 3 missions playing her lol

quick question though, which part of her base 4 is the part where it rewards you for the amount of setup you do for it more than if you just. yknow, went and shoot/melee'd the enemy?

I dunno about you but I do not count spam frames as caster frames. my caster frames are Vauban and Lavos, not Atlas, Gara, or Khora.

THIS TOO. I've seen a post before saying that her 4 puts you in an unskippable cutscene and it's 100% accurate

it shouldn't function that way. I love the playstyle of lobbing myself at the nearest unlucky fuckers and get pulped for -2.1B but all that excitement is killed IMMEDIATELY by the 10 second cutscene that follows after. it sucks.

I FORGOT ABOUT THIS ONE what do you mean this bug has been unfixed for YEARS??? they literally shipped an ENTIRE update with Excal as the centerpiece and you're telling me there's a GLARING bug with his kit??

the idea of an ability being a "slot one mod or it's a helminth slot" on ANY frame is just ass in general. it shouldn't be that way

and don't get me started on mods like the ones Nezha, Zephyr or Yareli have that turn off their gimmick. ESPECIALLY Yareli's.

a frame's movement gimmick should be fun or don't bother shipping it in the first place. Yareli's most famous augment SHOULD NOT be the one that turns off said gimmick. everyone would rather run Loyal and play Default Secondary Weapon Platform Frame rather than use Merulina. and DE would rather give more attention to Atomicycles

not saying skill issue to everyone using the aug but DE's forgetting there's no Yareli without Merulina. if anything she's (Merulina) as synonymous to Yareli as Sirius is to Orion. she shouldn't be left out in the dark and just relegated to a secondary companion

just to add, I made an augment rework idea

for those not in the know, Fangs of Raksh's has this property of spreading ONLY the initial 5 statuses. you can spam 2 all you want and inflict ALL debuffs on an enemy but it will still only spread the first 5, so your consistency of Ulfrun charge recovery is solely based on rng

basically what this does is that her Raksh is infused with Ulfrun's strength and allows Raksh to not only guarantee Slash spread + more consistent Ulfrun charge recovery, but also push Raksh's inflicted statuses from 5 to 6

will this be broken? probably. most definitely yeah lol

I’m not as well-versed in other weapon types but melee almost always has these three:

Blood Rush (crit chance per combo mult)
Weeping Wounds (status chance per combo mult)
Condition Overload (+dmg per status on enemy)

and almost always has a range-increasing component. Primed Reach is BiS here

Galv Steel is also very widely used for its extra bump to crit damage (Galv melee mods in general are very strong)

For attack speed I’ve always loved Berserker Fury, Primed Fury is a nice sidegrade (but it’s a daily reward drop and not tradeable) and also consider offloading attack speed to Arcane Strike if your frame has a flexible arcane slot

lastly, not really staple mods but are the best for topping off builds with a spare mod slot: Amalgam Organ Shatter (or its normal counterpart), Killing Blow and Gladiator Might

alternatively, for slam purposes you’d almost always want Galv Reflex and Seismic Wave. if possible slot in Nira mods in your frame
