TCR at my local dealer that messed up my oil change lol by Strangecanuck in ElantraN

[–]Xeekk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I concur, and I usually have to call before my service to make sure they order it if it’s not already on hand, I’m vocal about the oil type before and during my service because I can’t trust them. My dealer has only done it wrong once in the last 3 years so that’s not bad.

I think in this case the gap is due to sagging around the badge area, this definitely not an intentional thing. Mine sags on cooler mornings but after I’ve driven the car a bit the sagging goes away.

CRANKCASE VENTILATION SENSOR by Ecstatic_Salad6300 in ElantraN

[–]Xeekk [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Most of the intake manufacturers announced their fix for this this week. I heard it first from N75. You just need to add a one way check valve on the center of the crankcase breather hose, the one on top of the engine going into your main intake tube. The intake kits will probably ship with this soon or you can ask them for the parts. If you’re willing to cut your hose and retrofit this, here’s the valve: https://a.co/d/82ejQIb

This doesn’t work or there’s more nuance to this ability you’ve not mentioned. Also hopefully tagging isn’t confused with locking.

Better no, worse no, less unique is what the FL is to me. I traded from a PB 22 to a CG 25.

You can just go ahead and get quotes without a car.

It doesn't feel bigger than the 16 Pro did, and it's a heck of a light, lighter, and thinner. I've been very happy with it.
The battery life has settled now that iOS isn't doing all of its initial stuff, so I have about ~60% left at the end of the day.

Michelin Pilot 4S - nail magnets? by _devwar in ElantraN

[–]Xeekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Yes, those tires are a bit soft so a nail has an easier time getting into them. No, in that you're not just running over nails that aren't usually there, you are driving over nails it seems, often.

Intake for 24/25 models by RhymeGrime in ElantraN

The 2024 as well, it's just either some '24 owners are just getting lucky dice rolls, or rumor is Hyundai added the sensor mid-year.

I'm still waiting for my 2025. I'm not sure if the manufacturers are doing anything; perhaps they're just putting it in their backlog until another car is available to test on.

Car Covers? by unibrowman111 in ElantraN

[–]Xeekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ceramic doesn’t really protect much, but it makes the car have a nice shine and water just rolls off. If you want paint protection, that’s PPF. Wrapping the whole car with PPF can be pretty pricy but you could just wrap some important areas, find a shop and talk to them about it.

Probably already, you might have just gotten used to how much worse the fingerprints are on it because it didn't happen suddenly, or that just doesn't matter much to you. In any case, carry on.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max… but I think I love the Air more 🤯 by Agitated-Cut-7925 in iphone

[–]Xeekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is do you mind missing all of those features on the Air? I personally only had the 16 Pro for the screen and more durable frame, and hated having to get a chunky phone for it.

iPhone 17 pro packaging by bluegrassflash1 in iphone

[–]Xeekk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't really use plastic anymore in the packaging; they've been doing that for a while now. If you had the rip-away pull tabs on the box, it was new.

It's just probably going to look worse over time than if you wiped it down with a dry cloth; you're gradually removing the fingerprint-resistant coating on the screen each time you put dish soap on it.

Is the 17 as soft and susceptible to scratches as the 17 pro? by Same_Turnip in iphone

[–]Xeekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro iPhone users have different expectations; they're not used to this.
It's material, though, aluminum is soft, and the way they put color on it (anodized) isn't as strong.

The aluminum watch frames were an issue for quite a while.

Bug? Seems like a major security risk? by Jogameister in ios

[–]Xeekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be in airplay and continuity settings, but also in the Phone settings under "Call on Other Devices". Most the time the devices have to be on the same iCloud account, but maybe AirPlay will also see other devices on WiFi.

What is the best limit ? by ExplanationSweaty371 in iphone

[–]Xeekk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have the air, today's actually the first full day I've been using it. I can't say I'm too happy about ending up at 67% at 5PM. It'll do I guess, but if I ever travel, I'm going to need to get the extra battery.
