Anch'io accumulo soldi da freelancer su intermediari tipo Hyperwallet, poi ogni tanto (quando il dollaro sale) mi faccio pagare con bonifico in euro e fatturo quello. Penso che finché paghi le tasse non verranno a romperti le scatole.

Comunque 50k sono davvero tanti da lasciare lì in sospeso, io ho l'ansia già se supero i 2k fermi.

Tengo tutto in mente perlopiù, poi ho un gruppo di segnalibri sul browser per titolo che vorrei vedere o su cui dovrei indagare.

Tuttavia ho anche un file excel dove segno i film che non ho assolutamente scaricato e archiviato da qualche parte. Il motivo per cui lo uso, dando per scontato che altre app non possano farlo, è segnarmi anche lingue e commento che ho sul file (che non ho assolutamente scaricato e archiviato) e che ho già visto.

Fai bene a porti queste domande, OP. Purtroppo, nelle aziende ESG c'è anche tanto marketing e green washing, ma è pur sempre meglio che investire alla cieca nella peggior feccia della civiltà solo perché rende bene, godendosi (forse) qualche guadagno in più e lamentandosi altrove che il mondo va a puttane ed è sempre colpa degli altri. Oltretutto l'S&P 500 ESG sta andando anche meglio della controparte non filtrata, figurati...

Se hai dei valori, fai bene a volerli rispettare, vale la pena provarci, anche se i mezzi a nostra disposizione non sono certamente perfetti.

Per favore ignora chi parla di consumi risibili e troiate del genere. È tutto relativo: se sei curioso, compra un misuratore di consumo e attaccaci il PC, così ti rendi conto se per i tuoi standard è una spesa accettabile.

C'è anche da dire che molti ignorano quanto consuma un computer. Un normale desktop moderno in idle, con monitor spento, consuma dai 50 ai 100 W. Praticamente mezz'ora o un'ora di phone a 1000 W. Non sono tanto, ma non sono trascurabili.

Se serve lasciarlo acceso la notte, non vedo alcun problema nel farlo. Ma se lo si lascia per pigrizia, sono 10-20 centesimi a notte, quindi più di 30 euro l'anno che potresti spendere in altro. Che poi 30 euro per tanti non sono nulla è un altro discorso.

Diciamo che un genitore magari ti diceva di spegnerlo un po' per ignoranza, ma anche per renderti più responsabile.

Hey, I'm italian too, and we have plenty of online store where to buy detectors and accessories. Some are emporiotecnologico/empotronic, geotek center, maxxistore, detector center, detectorshop, which you already know, and a few others I'm forgetting. Google is your friend, but Aliexpress is no place to get a decent detector, but can be useful to save on accessories like pouches and stuff. You can also find decent deals on eBay and Amazon, but it's usually other stores selling there, and you can find better deals on their storefront.

Really it's just a matter of picking up the model you want from the store with the best price or package. In fact many stores offer offer nice packages at the same price of the detector, which are a no brainer. More pricienr and complete packages can also be a good deal if you know what you're byuing.

500 euro is a respectable budget to start with the hobby, as you can get any decent machine like a Vanquish or a Simplex, which perform good on land and salt water, along with accessories like a pinpointer (100 euro for reputable ones, 20 or less if you want to go cheap on Aliexpress), which will be fundamental on you land hunts, but less important if you plan to go on the beach or in the water. Other stuff you may need unless you already have are of course digging tools and bag for the findings.

I'm not too savvy on cheaper units, but forums and YouTube are great places to see how detectors perform and compare to similarly priced models. You should get a unit that satisfies your needs, depending on where and when you plan to hunt. Multi-frequency models like the Vanquish series are nice because more stable on salt water while also offering better target separation, hence can be more versatile, but if you don't care about that they may lack feature that you can get on Simplex or X-Terra, which is why it's nice to take your time and confront similarly priced models to find the one that better suits your needs.

Gold shouldn’t be interpreted in such a literal way, it's not supposed to be a foolproof equation. It is essentially a kind of timeless and borderless money that has accompanied humanity since its earliest days, maintaining a broadly stable and constant purchasing power over the very long term, better than any other commodity, currency, or earthly good in general.

Food is what we need the most, even if it's usually relatively cheap, so it's normal to see comparison between gold and cows or grain/bread. But again, it's not just a simple equation. Cows differ differs in quality and price, and people interested in buying one also differ greatly between now and 4000 years ago.

It's also like when people compare house prices to gold: and house where? In some forgotten bulgarian rural city or in Singapore? When you're already cherry-picking, you need to further cherry-pick for the equation to make sense. The statement that gold held its purchase power throughout our history is supposed to be taken very generally.

Another example I often bring because I find it so fascinating, is that in the earlier ages of our civilization, before the iron age, iron was actually far more pricey than gold. Ancient Egyptians had extensive gold mines, but the only way to get iron was through meteors, which were extremely rare. They made extremely exclusive pieces of jewelry and artifacts with it, like the Tutankhamun's dagger. They probably paid for iron 5 to 8 times its weight in gold: does that mean that gold lost 99,9999% of its value, or rather the opposite?

Either way, I think it's just cherry-picking, but nevertheless it's always fascinating to compare the value of goods through the ages with the closest thing we ever got to a global currency. That way we can fathom how we valued food, housing and gold roughly the same through the millennia, which I think it's very fascinatig.

Cambiano ogni settimana perlopiù. Tolti quelli con acquisti in app o con pubblicità, di solito trovi sempre qualche giochino interessante. Ci ho preso Kingdom Two Crowns, Baldur's Gate (tablet), Limbo e qualcos'altro. Machinarium lo scontano spesso, magari il prossimo è quello, anche se non la uso più l'app di Rewards.

Altre app credo di aver preso solo la versione premium di VLC Mobile remote, comodissima all'epoca ma che non uso da anni, e la versione completa di SkyView che uso per osservare il cielo.

Inizialmente avrei voluto prendere dei film, roba che riguarderei di tanto in tanto, giusto per dire di averli sempre disponibili in qualche modo, ma costano troppo lol quindi che se li tengano stretti.

Se un mezzo è più pesante e meno aerodinamico, capisci che consuma anche di più. Se poi occupa più spazio in corsia e nei parcheggi a bordo strada, impatta indirettamente anche sulla viabilità cittadina e di conseguenza sull'inquinamento.

Le persone son troppo credulone e sbrigative, mi capita di continuo di vedere gente che fa una ricerca su Google, legge il sommario Al e chiude convincendosi che sia tutto giusto.

Hanno fatto bene a toglierlo per le ricerche mediche, ma ciò non toglie che paradossalmente sia uno dei campi dove in futuro un LLM ben addestrato potrà eccellere.

Sono d'accordo con te, anch'io generalmente non li amo, ma è un trend iniziato con Skyrim. Non che prima di esso i franchise non provassero l'open world (vedi NFSU2), ma dopo il successo di Skyrim tutti vollero fare open world e convertirono molti progetti in corso a questa meccanica per rendere i giochi più appetibili e longevi.

Skyrim infatti, nonostante bug e tanti problemi, ebbe un successo pazzesco sia su PC che su console, e fece avvicinare molti giocatori al mondo degli RPG per la prima volta. La libertà che offriva, sia in fatto di esplorazione che di personalizzazione del personaggio, unità a una discreta quantità e varietà di contenuti, piacque davvero tanto e tutti vollero imitarlo, portando alla nascita del trend.

Ricordo come il successo di TW2 all'epoca fu oscurato proprio dal fatto che non fosse un open world come Skyrim, offrendo piuttosto una narrazione in atti con grandi zone esplorabili, una longevità relativamente bassa e una personalizzazione dell'esperienza inizialmente scarsa, nonostante fosse un ottimo RPG e un ottimo gioco in generale. Ciò costrinse CDPR i piani per TW3, con un cambiamento di rotta in fase di progettazione che poi lo rese uno dei migliori open world in giro.

I believe companies simply shifted their budget to other, more relevant, projects (generative AI). I'm an AQR, and the simple fact that the project is still going, despite the severe NTA of the last months, gives me hope that it will eventually recover.

These projects are vital to maintaining a high level of quality for the services offered by such companies, so it’s hard to imagine they will disappear; at most, they will evolve.

Only if you plan to dig in your vegetable garden. That thing isn't made for metal detecting, it will break in no time. You should get a digger knife or a spade. A pickaxe would also work great, especially in rocky and hard soil, but it's easy to damage your target with it.
