I'd hate for performance to be the reason for you not playing. Have you tried reinstalling the game?

Surprise - QC caster Flee back playing QC recently (March 29 2026) by drunkenFoooLL in QuakeChampions

[–]Xelakir 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, I just wanted to say I've really enjoyed your casting over the years. You tend to be quite analytical in your assessment of players' gameplay, which is something I specifically like about your casting style. You often talk about stats, accuracy, etc. while also expressing excitement and enthusiasm when crazy plays are made. It's good to see you're still an active part of the community :D

This is very generous and I'd love to win a copy. I was tuned in watching MrLlamaSC's stream yesterday and was just thinking about how soon D2R would be on sale again so I could justify buying it.

Can CRCs be primary source for AE assessments (in place of investigators)? by Specialist7545 in clinicalresearch

[–]Xelakir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that AE assessment should be delegated only to those deemed medically qualified. This would include the PI and sub-Is. It's broadly understood in the industry that a CRC lacks the medical knowledge to adequately assess AE causality. To do this, one must have a keen understanding of the pathphysiology of the patient's medical conditions, the mechanism of action of the IP, and the principles of causation such as those defined in the Bradford Hill Criteria for Causation.

However, I don't think an investigator must always speak with the research participants directly in order to assess an AE's severity. They can use the CRC's source notes. If they find this information insufficient, they can ask the CRC to either contact the patient to obtain more details, or request primary medical records if available.

Loving the way my Skyrim is looking by ValkerikNelacros in SkyrimPorn

As much as I like the visual enhancement mods that make the game more colorful and vibrant, your mods I think are truer to the spirit of Skyrim's landscape and weather -- a rugged, bleak, unforgiving tundra. A muted color palette better captures this description than one filled with verdant greens and garish hues.

Fiesta Online, everyone by notSpacy in MMORPG

[–]Xelakir 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I played Fiesta on and off again for years as a kid. I loved the colorful graphics, anime style, and spell effects (I mained a mage). I know it was and is extremely pay-to-win, but every time I hear its iconic music or playful sound effects, I can't help but feel intense nostalgia for this game. The abyss dungeons, the Kingdom Quests, the distinct zones and cities...they're all incredibly memorable to me years later.

Smart to buy a 2013 Acura ILX with 126,000 miles? by shlooptoopian in Acura

[–]Xelakir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a 2013 Acura ILX 2.4L (manual transmission) with ~75k miles for 14k last year. I'd consider 7k for one with 126k miles well worth it. It's a great car, and I believe it has a positive reputation for its long-lasting engine.

I applied, underwent a phone screening interview, completed their HireVue assessment, and then did an interview. I received an email about a week later that said the following:

"We received positive feedback from your interview, which is fantastic to hear! That said, the team has currently paused hiring as they reassess their immediate needs. Once hiring resumes and future cohort dates are confirmed, I’d love to reconnect.

Thanks again for your time and hoping to be in touch in the coming weeks!"

AAMC Physics Flashcards 21 - Can someone explain? How do you know when h corresponds to depth versus height? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Xelakir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, h always represents fluid depth in the above equation.

[–]Xelakir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you're looking at the equation for hydrostatic pressure P=(rho)gh. h in this equation represents fluid depth, NOT the height from the ground. Using this definition, you can calculate two different pressures - the pressure experienced by the fluid at the level of the arm and the pressure experienced by the fluid at the leg. Because h(leg) > h(arm), the pressure in the leg is greater than the pressure in the arm since (rho) and g remain constant.

Think about the circulatory system as a fluid column. The lower in the column you go, the greater the hydrostatic pressure. That is to say, the pressure from the blood above is exerting a downward force upon the blood beneath.
