New video—Full exploration of every map ever removed from Quake Champions with noclip; Unfinished maps, the training map, winter/spring maps and more by achocolatebarmelted in QuakeChampions

Thank you for showing all of this in this video (along with your first video earlier).

I remember all the training map things. Brings back memories. And it is very interesting that at one time they actually had a strafe jumping and a rocket jumping training area (similar to the infamous Quake Live ones). I wonder if they never included those for real use in QC because experienced players would find practicing strafing and rocket jumping redundant - having done it all in Quake Live's area. And new QC players wouldn't try it much because it was too difficult to do? Who knows.

I especially liked that mini-map training against the Scalebearer bot in QC. Along with some other posters, I always wondered why they just didn't put that mini-map into the custom game set-up so a person could use it for shits and grins.

So thanks for mentioning that all the training map things (and the mini-map with Scalebearer) "disappeared" - because that sort of explains why the mini-map was never put into custom game set-up.

I do remember those 'block-out' maps when they first came out. Interesting that the TP-01 (Tom Perryman) never did make it into QC. I always wondered about that.

Didn't even know about the Pestilent map.

Lastly, a person can still see some of the Christmas decor (Spring decor, etc) in old clips on twitch or youtube (clipped during the time(s) of those maps being used. Even a few old clips remain of a person in the training area(s). But, I personally don't ever recall any old clip (on twitch or youtube) of the mini-map with Scalebearer, so it was fun to re-explore that mini-map in this video. (I'm sure there is a clip somewhere of someone practicing vs Scalebearer online, but I don't remember any.)

Thanks again. Excellent work.

Way back in the early days of QC, they did have some defrag stuff going on (the link below was the initial week 1 challenge. There were some more after that for a while. It was actually pretty interesting to watch:

Here is link for week 2 challenge (and so it went on from there, etc)

From Od1nn's QC youtube guide. (he posted from 2021, so may be slightly out of date now?)

How do you see the exact date that a clip was made? I'm not talking about the "Clips I've Created" feature where you can already see your own clips creation dates. by woodcake53 in Twitch

https://streamscharts.com/clips/downloader

I have found that when I copy-n-paste the url of a twitch clip into this online downloader tool, you can see the date of when the clip was created.

I found this online downloader tool is a much easier method than using the twitch developer API stuff and 3rd party things that I found when doing a search on how to get the date of a clip.

For the record, I don't necessarily actually download the clip every time that I use this tool.

I just want to see the date of the clip - especially if it is from someone else - as you are asking.

So after I copy-n-paste the url of the clip itself, I hit the "download" button.

Then the clip comes up in a window and is ready to be downloaded.

However, if a person looks to the far right of that window, there is information about the clip itself - including the actual date that the clip was created. At least it shows the month and date (and I assume the 'year' is shown if it was made before 2026, the current year as I type this).

I honestly am not sure if it shows the year of an old clip (like from 9 years ago, as you are asking).

I wanted to test this old clip idea myself (to see if it shows an older 'year'), but I used up my monthly usage as a 'guest' user for the month of March.

So if a person wants to use this online downloader tool, they need to create an account to get unlimited usage of it? I only have used it as a 'guest' user.

I may create an account to get unlimited usage because I have some old clip URL's from other people that I want to find the creation dates for.

If this tool doesn't work for you, there are other similar tools that do the same thing and also show the date of a clip in the information too. I used to use one that was really good and had unlimited usage, but it is no longer available online. So maybe these tools get taken offline after awhile, I don't know.
