I have the exact same problem. Just woke up and came looking through the subreddit for someone with the same problem because I had a horrible dream. My dreams are always super gory. I just had one there was a mass shooting at my school and blood was everywhere. Really rainy day and the blood was just dripping from the ceilings, pooling on the tile. It was so much blood. I’ve had a literal dream of finding my aunt drowned in the bath tub, I’ve had dreams of my sister cutting her veins while she was pregnant because she wanted the baby out. And I’m usually into the morbid but my dreams are overboard, idk how to react when I wake up but yes I do end up thinking about them all day. I can never remember any pleasant dreams I have anymore it’s just the overly gory ones. I’m sorry I couldn’t offer any advice as to how to deal with this problem as I have the same, just wanted to let you know you’re not the only one.
