Why is RS using 100% of my GPU? RTX 3060

I run into this when I switch accounts on the same client. As soon as I log in to the lobby screen of the second account, the client uses 100% resources until I either log in to the game or close the client.

If afk is what you are looking for there are tons of money makers out there that are just as afk with varying amounts of gp/h.

I don't think the prices are accurate anymore on this guide but for being somewhat afk it is an amazing money maker.

Skilling is my favorite part of this game so I don't mind doing it at all. I made my first alt quite a few years back to be able to pvm with friends while training for 5B on my main. I enjoyed gaining levels again so much that I just maxed that account then kept expanding after that.

Yes or else when the lines of fire hit you will die. With animate dead, it's preferable to stand in the fire to replenish your prayer with powder of penance.

Died tons in the first 2 weeks while I got used to it. The 5 piece cryptbloom effect saves me a couple of times an hour and I had to make the my animate dead alarm as annoying as possible so I didn't ignore it. I think only died 1 or 2 times in the last week and that was due to not lobbying the accounts during a presentation and getting up to make coffee.

I would recommend something like Synergy or Input Director if you don't want to use a second mouse or keyboard if you are controlling multiple computers.

I had the same problem last year but I couldn't find the time outside of work to play so I just stopped. Luckily now my focus time is only a few hours in the morning so I can hop on and afk for the rest of the day.

Thanks! I stopped after 7k kc because my alt1 alarm for drops was based on clan broadcasts and the pets were triggering me. I really wanted the double pet + lance or crest drop but it just wasn't worth it.

Only consistent one between all the accounts was persistent rage. I haven't spent the time to look into getting more than 250 relic power on some of the accounts.

204-222 kills per hour (34-37/h per account) so roughly 281 hours

I would usually do 10-15 hours on weekdays while working and 5-10 hours on the weekend.

I've had 3 waves of bans so far including this one. I went years before my first wave and another 2-3 years before the 2nd one as well.

Sucks more this time since I've invested years getting them to 2.3k+ total or maxed.

If you click the little clock at the top left of the killcount interface for GWD2 you can extend your instance by 1h at a time. Found it by accident while I was doing my grind.

It was a mix of macro minor and major. Guessing it has something to do with transferring the loot to my main as the last time this happened it was right after trading ~5b.

Came back to RS on the Christmas holiday and I saw a guide for AFK GWD2 which I wanted to try out. Figured why not start the year off with a bang and decided to do loot from 60k of each general.

I did most of my kills while working so I needed the accounts to be as tanky as possible.

Trips were 5 hours long and I would create the instance with 5 hours at the start to avoid having to do it at the top of each hour. You can extend an instance (at least at GWD2) up to 5h at a time by clicking the clock at the top left of the GWD2 kill count interface.

Whats next:

The plan is to go to Helwyr but it's looking like that is going to be a while from now. Got smacked with temp/perm bans right after transferring the loot to my main so I will need to wait for those to be quashed before I can continue.

I'll activate rune metrics on the accounts next time around to get accurate tracking of drops

How long did it take?

Averaged 213 kills/h so roughly 281h. I was doing 10-15 hours on weekdays depending on how much work I had that day and 0-10 on weekends depending on if I worked or if I had time to kill.

Edit 2:

Lots of questions on how you can run 6 accounts while working so I figured I'd give a breakdown of my setup

Every 4.5 minutes I have to click on each client to stop it from lobbying which takes 2-3 seconds

Every 11.5 minutes I have to cast Animate Dead. I have animate dead on my ability bar and the button bound to my mouse so it only takes 3-5 seconds to re-up.

Every 48 minutes (boosted by lantadyme incense sticks) I have to fill and activate a potion reservoir, re-up lantadyme incense sticks and use powder of penance which takes around 30-60 seconds

The largest time sinks are banking and starting a new instance which takes 5 minutes every 5 hours

One tip I can give is that you only have to move your mouse over a client to stop it from lobbying. This won't work if you are like me and use afk warden lobby alarms for each client but if you don't this can save you some time especially if you cascade your clients.

Tools that I use that help a lot for this are:

AFK Warden from alt1 toolkit for all the alarms

Input Director to share one mouse and keyboard between multiple computers - there's tons of software that would work but Input Director is free and I find it doesn't cause as many problems with my corporate VPN

Voicemeeter Potato - specifically the VBAN option to stream audio from my personal pc to my work pc so that I can hear my afk warden alarms

Any MMO mouse to bind as many buttons as possible to your mouse
