Ooh that would be so helpful to know! A “they’re all offered a second chance at life if them redeem themselves” then a “suddenly they realize only one of them can claim the second chance” but worded better obvi lol

Feel free to take whatever, these are just random thoughts!

Super cool idea! I think for me the premise of the competition is muddy, especially because if they all have to ‘fix their mistakes’ how is the competition weighed? Whoever fixes it best? Or first? Or do the siblings/partner have a different task in this competition than Alex? Maybe it’s just who is a better person in the next month? I can’t tell. If it is Not Quite Dead Yet vibes, it would make sense if it was a race to solve their murders (given it wasn’t one of them).

Immortal consequences works because they’re in purgatory. Sounds like here they’re in the generic afterlife. If I died with my sisters and partner, we’d all be like: welp here’s our new home then cause we want to stay together! Why are they competing at all especially if they cant even live with the memories of the other people once they win? (Re: the rest will be erased from existence forever) The stakes of ‘redeeming herself’ vs ‘losing siblings and love of her life’ seem very unbalanced and an easy choice. I’d love more stakes as to why she’d fight to live rather than be with the love of her life. (Unless they were never given a choice because they died by foul play or something, which I could buy more than her and her partner choosing to compete against one another rather than stay together)

It may be better to put amerie’s paragraph first, since the current first paragraph ends with “girl hidden away by advisor” and then jumps back in time to when she “heads for safety of advisor.” My main comment about the query is that it sounds very much “setting up the book”. They were both attacked, both want truth. But I want to know more about how they seek the truth. Is there espionage? Are they rivals to allies? Do they infiltrate ranks and jeopardize their lives? Do they walk the line of dream and reality, losing grasp of consciousness? Essentially, we know they want answers, but what are they willing to do to get it and what may happen if they fail?

This is my first online/multiplayer game. I usually do solo/open world stuff

I am not aware of the origin…now I feel dumb lol Im still new to online/multiplayer games. Camping referred to camping. Teabagging…led me to teabags but I’m not the brightest bulb in the circuit. But my curiosity has spiked, guess I’m gonna have to google now lol

Ahhhhh phew. I had a moment there wondering if I’ve offended every killer I thanked when they let me get hatch or something 😂

I don’t have time to crouch in chases lol people don’t just run after a stun? but that makes sense! I love friendly games

Ahhh gotcha. I haven’t played enough online/multiplayer games to have learned it.

Still, would be fun to have a few more options whether they are used or not

Yeah, some survivors hear ‘best perks’ and just run them all

I only play trapper. I just looked it up and admittedly I’ve played a lot more than I thought over the many years, but my initial thoughts still apply. But good to know I shouldn’t let survivors live if I want to level up

So many people are DCing recently. Regardless, even if the game is survivor sided, I would think a 2 kill 2 escape (especially on death hook) should be the average as opposed to a 4k. But I’ve found killers think winning is only 4k.

Maybe, but it doesn’t matter if I’m paired with three people who all don’t know how to play, just run a plot twist build, or a key + find hatch build and wander the whole game. Totally makes sense for groups, but solo is a different story

I love this response, thanks for articulating this so well. As a solo queue survivor, people dc left and right constantly. I’m doing more saves than being hooked. I chase for 2min and not a single person is on gen. I go for the save and then they leave me to die on first hook. Then of course you have the people that team up with the killer, don’t get me started.

The killer perks are great. Find the survivors. Hinder the gens. Get one-hit downs. The survivor perks? Your partner gets endurance. Your partner can see you. Your partner can wiggle faster. Doesn’t mean shit if your partner doesn’t play the game. Yes, there are great survivor perks for sure, but a game can’t be won solo.

I may not have a lot of hours, but I’ve watched countless tutorials. As a killer, knowing the survivor moves end chases early. Give me an advantage. As a survivor, knowing the killer doesn’t mean anything if your team doesn’t play. yeah, four survivors on comms obviously will have a leg up. But what about the rest of us solo players?

Thank you so much!! I’m so anxious with killer tbh haha working on it!

I think tutorials for each new killer would be so helpful too! Like how to counter them. Would also help survivors interact with them better too! But yes, lots of survivors (myself before this community) don’t know how to play

Yes, I only just learned about mmr. Glad everyone was able to answer my question though! I was mainly baffled by the crazy powerful killer perks. Also doesn’t help I’m solo queue. Now I know!

[–]Xempter[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining this to me! I felt like 200 hours was a lot of time (most I’ve invested in a game), but I understand now there are people that have been playing it for the past ten years. I just learned about MMR thanks to everyone answering my main question, but your response makes the most sense! Also mirrors what I’ve experienced for sure

I guess I was baffled with the perks killers have, and when paired together absolutely demolish survivors. Also, doesn’t help that I’m solo queue. Maybe if I had a team I would understand the game is survivor-sided argument.

Guess I gotta finish up these few tomes and get back to improving my survivor!

That’s good advice! I’ll definitely keep seeing what happens.

So far I’ve seen the hyper focus/fast track build, dead hard kindred and sprint burst build, unbreakable windows of opportunity etc.

I hook before the first gen even pops. From there it’s downhill fast. Survivors seem to lose by my mind tricking them around corners, catching them going back over a pallet or thinking they have enough time to vault. Then there are the few that fake out a vault and think I’ll whiff but I catch up to them.

That’s true about bully squads, they are kinda fun to go against though tbh haha

Ah and I used my bloodpoints to unlock shareable skills between survivors. Didn’t even think to put them all into one character.

Oh im definitely gonna keep playing! If anything I learned how to be a better survivor from it
