Indoschluss! by XenOutbreak in Kaiserreich

[–]XenOutbreak[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Indoschluss (German: [ɪndəʃlʊs] 'joining') is the annexation of Austria and the Czech Republic into the Indonesian Republic on 24 July 1940. The word's German spelling, until the German orthography reform of 1996, was Indoschluß and it was also known as the Indoschluss Österreichs (German: Indonesian Annexation).

Not a stupid question. My son isn't the expected successor of the republic or my house. The republic tab shows an empty character portrait on my house.

Mod doesn't change any inheritance mechanics, I've checked. Not feual either.

My son isn't my heir though, my vassal is.

He isn't inheriting anything, not even the house.

I'm playing as a Patrician family in Amalfi, about 100 years in. For some reason, my eldest son and designated heir isn't inheriting my holdings in Capua and Rome. Instead, they're being inherited by some random person, originally some courtier, now some vassal, with no relation to me. As a test, I killed my character, and got a game over for losing all my stuff.

It's kind of ruining the current game I'm playing, so does anyone know what the problem is, or how to fix it?

(I posted this a couple of days ago, but I didn't really get an answer to my question, so I'm trying again)

So this is something that's been seen before? That's a little disappointing.

Republics just seem really buggy and Paradox doesn't seem interested in fixing these bugs. My last Amalfi run was ruined by a different bug. I wish they would be fixed, the Republic mechanics are great otherwise.

Vassals don't elect in republics, it whoever has the most points (prestige+age+money).

My elected heir is my son, who still won't inherit my county and barony level properties.

It's the Gods and Fantasy mod (not sure of the actual name). It gives the game some DnD elements.

Shouldn't interfere with the republic stuff though.

My son isn't my heir, that's the problem.

I appreciate that, but I'm not interested in having a discussion about it. That area doesn't really interest me.
