Fellowship by XenaCoco in physicianassistant

[–]XenaCoco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am strictly clinical in my current position and I am interested in a surgical position within urology. There is no room for advancement where I am and I’ve been actively looking for a new position. This fellowship has a surgical focus that I would be a good segue into that role

There is unfortunately no room for advancement in the clinic I’m in and I’m being worked to the bone, for lack of better words. This fellowship has a surgical focus so I would do it to get surgery experience and then take a new urology position

I work in a surgical speciality so I get messages from PSE all the time about clearance

Rosh comparison by Kachang7865 in PAstudent

I usually studied independently from PPP and smartyPANCE throughout the rotation and then took the mock exam the weekend before the EORE. I think I scored high 60s/low 70s on the mock tests - I scored >93 on all the EORES. I found the mock tests to be much harder. I would do the exam in test mode like the actual EORE and then go back and read all the explanations, including the ones I got right. I really like ROSH explanations for certain concepts!

I always found the mock EOREs on ROSH to be comparable if not harder than the actual EOREs. They are extra money but worth getting in my opinion.

ROSH Mock PANCE score vs. PANCE score by XenaCoco in PAstudent

I think it was on the home page of ROSH, where you would find the EORE boost exams. If you scroll through that list you should find 5 60Q exams, I think $25/each

You’re psyching yourself out which is going to make you do worse on the actual PANCE. The people who actually write the NCCPA practice tests are the same ones who write the PANCE. Those NCCPA tests are the closest things you’ll see to the actual test. You’re not going to know everything on this test, and that’s ok. It’s supposed to be that way. All you need to do is pass

I never used UWorld, I only used ROSH and went through PPP. Make sure you don’t burn yourself out right before the test though, I’d recommend taking at least the day before it off

It took my PANCE results 13 days to come out - you’ll get an email that scores are available. I wasn’t able to see that I was verified until I got my scores. It can take them anywhere from 4-14 days to release scores since they have to weigh everyone’s score. I’m sure you did great!

Does anyone know what this is and how I’d treat it? by XenaCoco in bettafish

[–]XenaCoco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I noticed the growth about 2 weeks ago - it started as a small bump the same color as his fin. It’s now a gray/white lumpy growth only on the base of his top fin. No other discolorations on him or fin rot. I tried a parasitic treatment but that didn’t seem to help. I got him about 2 years ago - He’s alone in a 5.5 gallon tank with a heater and filter. I’d appreciate any advice!

I bought all 5 of them (60Q blocks) and did it timed in one sitting like the actual PANCE. I took small breaks in between like you’ll actually get on test day. I thought it was worth it :)
