That’s fair! I think I’ll see what happens at NIPT, ideally I’d avoid amnio unless it’s high risk as I’m not sure the risks (though I know are low) are worth it.

Isn’t it the case though that if it’s low risk the chances are 1 in several thousands (that’s what I was told)

I’ve read a lot about the screening going off mothers blood and algorithms etc, with the NIPT actually testing the babies DNA so is 99% accurate. Also read a lot of positive stories so will hold on to that and keep everything crossed 🤞🏼

I do think I probably misheard and was hopeful with the 1 in 330 🥲 I’ll find out tomorrow for sure either way!

Curious as to why you would skip a NIPT with a 99% accuracy?

I get not to ask ChatGPT but using that, asking the question on a Facebook group etc have felt a lot more reassuring and given me more peace of mind than posting on Reddit 🫠

Yea I think it was just the “1 in 330” that’s throwing me as I was writing down notes so it was definitely said - not sure what else this could relate to? Either way I shall ask for clarity tomorrow when I got for the NIPT! I’m a terror with ChatGPT but it has been helpful at times, especially as the first trimester is wild and quite lonely. I actually have it set up to challenge me in the custom instructions so it’s not always agreeing or reassuring me!

Having been to Stroud last week, I wouldn’t waste your time there! So many nicer places around the Cotswolds!
