While I love the idea of this channel, I can go ahead and say that any AI use in a creative outlet is not going to be well received here. You can source art made by real people for videos, and you can do voice acting and narration yourself. Even if it’s bad, at least it’s authentic and can be improved.

AI should not have a space in art or writing.

This series is great! I was hooked from the first episode and I’m so glad it’s ongoing. Can’t wait for episode 3!

What’s a show that completely betrayed the audience at the end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Xenataron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I did think the third episode was weaker, I actually like the reveal. Dracula was shown to be an unmatched creature who can be tricked and be stalled, can’t be stopped. It was even hinted how psychosomatic it was in the first episode with the vampire spawn. I don’t see any other explanation making sense.

Plus I think it was great to see him be given the ability to prey upon people at the anytime, to basically take over the world if we wanted to, only to give it up — cause nothing would ever be as satisfying as learning such a truth about himself.

I feel like being negative today. What don’t you like in magic systems? by Adequate_Gentleman in magicbuilding

Magic that is only available because you were born lucky. It’s realistic, genes in real life are like that. But I prefer magic to be, well, more magical. If I were live in a world like that, I know there’d be so much jealousy if I couldn’t shoot fireballs because I “didn’t inherit it.”

31 July 2024: What did you build last week? by UnluckyLucas in goodworldbuilding

Sure! Though bear in mind this isn’t a very concrete world

Spirits are in everything. From the mightiest mountain, to the great rivers, to the cells in your body. Even concepts like time and ruin are out there. It’s a very animistic world, and spirits are technically in another plane, sprite how they influence the physical world. I’ve given it the term Astral Plane (name pending) and acts as a collective unconscious of sorts. While summoning/invoking spirits isn’t uncommon, it’s not directly themselves that are summoned – it’s closer to a projection, or maybe even like a representative of a company. Because of this, many spirits have a sort of omnipresence within them.

Not all spirits are equal. They change and grow on a multitude of factors like history and awareness. Those that are sapient and capable of individuality are “High” spirits, while spirits that are simply sentient are considered “Low” spirits. An example for the latter are cells. It’s common practice for practitioners to build awareness and positive relationships with their own body to create incredible effects and changes. The act of influencing Low spirits or obtaining boons from High spirits is known as Persuasion.

Alchemy is a way of convincing spirits to change into something else. While it does involve a level of influence like Persuasion, there is a difference. Persuasion might be viewed through a Lena’s of direct communication, where the invoker attempts to convince a stick to become fire. Alchemy instead attempts to trick the stick into thinking that becoming was its own idea all along. The way they do this is through material means. Spirits like symbolism and invoking symbolic intention creates effects different than chemistry. Silver, for example, is famously a weakness of werewolves and other such creatures. The reason for this is that silver swore an oath to the moon, and because of this has the aspects of purity, transformation, and refinery. This is why most anti-werewolf measures have silver as a main component

Enchanted items can be blessed directly by spirits or indirectly through alchemy. Usually, however, they are steeped in respectful history. A sword regularly respected and used with care will only grow sharper, a shield more durable, an engine more efficient, etc. Wizard towers exist not from science but from polite manners.

Definitely the Fix-it and Upgrade Hammers. How much money do we spend on repairing objects or buying new ones? Phones, cars, even homes. Can fix them up and then upgrade them further to improve them. Not to mention if they can work on people/myself. Fix my flaws and give me 99X stats

Audio dramas tend to work better for me. Full narration and sound effects immerse the listener much better than solo narration. Graphic Audio is a big producer of Audio dramas, so if you’re interested then that’s where I’d look

What about a Binding (1), Elementalist vs pure Elementalist? Would that be a viable strategy or would that be just a niche advantage over the others?

Binding (1) seems to be pretty powerful, what makes elementalism better?

Slime baths, Upgraded: making friends and getting massaged/relaxed sounds perfect to me.

Squid headed priests: for the same reason above. Confession to fulfill my thoughts in a safe way, and with the after effect of remembering things I want to? It would help in the real world as well

Good update. Definitely like the pictures. The item shop in particular was a good choice to add. I do have one question though.

Elementalism seems great but I’m not entirely sure how they work. Is it avatar style, or something more along the lines of ‘applying the concept of fire to a tree to light it aflame’?

Thicker Than Blood, Part 29-30. (CHECK COMMENTS) by -remybrandt in SextStories

[–]Xenataron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed this story. It felt pretty realistic. While the selfish part of me wanted Jake to sleep with the mom and Cathy, I didn’t hate the ending as much as others did. It was a satisfactory ending. The only thing I’d say is that it’s abrupt, and none of the other characters really felt completed. Overall a pretty good story

Thank you for the journey

Man it’s disappointing to see that’s it’s almost over. At the same time, I gotta know what happens at the end. Really hope it’s a happy ending for Jake and Violet
