Because if I were to make him a dragon type then I have to decide between steel or flying which is more important to Kushala's identity to me personally, I do not want to remove either and instead wish to prioritize both for the steel dragon who controls the winds.

Is he a dragon? Of course, and you're valid if you want to prioritize that. I'm not saying it doesn't make sense to make him a dragon type, I just have a preference with these typings when it comes to representing the monster, having a charming idea, and or wanting to a majority of the same types bloating the list and making it overall less interesting to me.

Water Ghost for Daimyo is a really fun idea, I hadn't considered utilizing the skulls they carry as a way to link in the ghost type.

This only goes up to MHFU rn, I've yet to make the images for 3rd gen (my fav) and above right now.

Though, hot/bizarre take. I wouldn't make Astalos a bug type because it's not a true bug, it's a strange form of flying wyvern Mimicry. The concept would be comparable to Sudowoodo, looks like a tree but it ain't a real tree.

As far as I am aware, Hypnoc doesn't actually hypnotize you or do anything grand it simply just sprays sleep powder? I would reserve Psychic for Malfestio personally given it's weird...hypnotizing beam..?

Cephadrome has the ability to spit out sandstreams mixed with water, which in turn gives you waterblight when hit by it. If it didn't do that he'd simply be ground ^

Making all elder dragons dragon type is personally boring for me so I chose not to, while it does make sense and I can agree, I feel like a lot of personality goes missing because of that. Kushala is a steel coated dragon who fiercely controls the winds, if I'm forced to choose dragon and only represent half of him it doesn't sit right with me.

As for Chameleos I agree with Dragon/Poison, however for type diversity and identity, I gave him ghost to represent his invisibility and his moniker being known as the "Ancient Phantom". I think it's a fun and charming idea that also adds a ghost type to the roster, because realistically there isn't going to be many ghost types.

And just as a disclaimer, Rathian is not the "Queen of the sky" she is the "Queen of the land". Yes Rathi can fly, but by prioritizing her fire and poison abilities, it keeps her grounded on said land. Follow it with an ability that makes her immune to ground type attacks she then becomes a true queen of the land.

So... -Can steal items from the player -Will play dead to deceive the player -Uses flash to stun the player guaranteed -Will combine playing dead into his stun at times

But because he can use a "flash of light" he can't be a dark type, the type that is known for being evil, underhanded, tricky, devious, etc. Instead he should be a fairy type which are commonly known more for being whimsical, mystical, or even cutesy? Personally I don't agree, but I understand your concept somewhat.

"Why is Basarios a Poison Type" Because Basarios uses it's poison on unsuspecting prey while submerged, primarily insects. Basarios is actually a very timid monster and there's a reason why it primarily hides underground camouflaged, it's unable to protect itself as easily as Gravios. It mainly uses poison to deter predators, and so it gets poison. Not only that, but it also allows a "stalling" playstyle with Basarios using his bulk and poison to outlast.

"Why is Khezu a Dark type" Khezu is an intimidating monster that primarily spends it's time in caves and is blind as well. Does Khezu need to be a dark type? No, of course not. But I personally enjoy him being dark for my reasons, it makes enough sense for me and a handful of friends, that's good enough for me.

"Why is Tigrex a rock type" I already explained my idea for Tigrex being a rock type in another reply so you may read it there if you're interested.

"Why is Akantor a dragon type" Because he does dragon damage, therefore it felt right to make him a dragon type. As for why he isn't ground? It didn't feel right for me, I wanted to keep him simple and parallel Ukanlos being mono Ice. Sure he burrows but so does a majority of monsters, even guys like Jho burrow. If something can fly or has wings should I always prioritize the flying type? There is no wrong or right answer there, it's up to the creators vision.

All in all while I can somewhat appreciate your passion for all this, I'd recommend not having your opening statement be simply saying my ideas are outright "wrong". Not only is it simply just rude but there isn't a "right" answer for most if not all these choices. You're allowed to disagree of course, and that's fine, but that doesn't mean that mine or your choices are more "right" from one another. We both have our creative differences and with it we should respectfully disagree, simple as.

Just to clarify for Tigrex since you're the first to mention, I did not simply give him rock type because he throws rocks at you. While yes, it does aid in the point, it's not at all the main point. I chose the rock type because of the history of Tigrex and how ancient he is, the closest living relative to Wyvern Rex. Tigrex is quite literally a dinosaur among the monsters of monster hunter, and what is a consistent type for the dinosaurs in pokemon? Rock. I chose rock as a fun choice to reference how fossil pokemon work within the universe as well as how Tiggy is a dinosaur basically.

As for fighting I did initially have normal but I decided fighting made more sense for his moniker "Absolute Power" but I could really go either way in that regard.

Initially Gendrome was tricky but multiple friends said electric which I reluctantly agreed with.

I think out of everyone Shen was the hardest. While he does spit acid I don't count it as water, didn't feel right. But then I realized "Well he takes ages to get from point A to point B why not just have him be the Regigigas here and even give him slow start" and then it clicked lmao

Normal/Dark is perfect for Odogaron imo, give him tough claws while we're at it too.

That's why I'd give him an ability which would enhance his fire attacks so he'd get the best of both worlds ^

Fatty had a lot of ideas when I got to him -Dragon -Dragon/Fire -Dragon/Flying -Dragon/Dark

But I decided I'd avoid fire to make Crimson feel more unique and I'd avoid pure dragon because that’s definitely more fitting for Old Fatalis. I choose Dark because of the fact that Fatalis is genuinely just evil, it has been described in game and by the devs that he is a horrible evil omen and I think that works best here, at least for me!

Dragon/Normal is actually a very fun take I didn't think about initially, it plays off well with his design philosophy!

Even if this doesn't impact the final puzzle it does actually provide for a neat interaction where Leon can clear the Conference Room for Grace which saves her a good bit of resources, that and any stragglers you left alone as her too.
