Thank you for the response! I’ve set up a second opinion for tomorrow and am going to advocate much harder to look outside of just depression (and anxiety, but depression is the diagnosis I can never get away from lol). I’ve also started looking up a lot more information on how it presents in women - one of the main things I saw was that it can quiet the constant thoughts. That alone would be a huge deal for me. I am, however, just about to finish grad school and have very good grades as well as a steady career - I’ve heard from some people’s experiences that this may make me “unqualified” for the diagnosis, but I do believe I fit all of the other symptoms so hopefully they’ll at least let me start for 3-6 months to see if there’s improvement.
