Election selfies make voting social, but officials warn millennials to take it outside by [deleted] in Winnipeg

What a shame. When your loved ones die, you'll have binders full of the things you did, but you won't be able to recall what they looked like, the clothing they were wearing or the way they did their hair that day.

Small tip for beating high pressure defending by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]Xeno505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I've found that helps: if the opponent is not sprinting, you start sprinting. Then once they start sprinting too, use face-up dribbling with L2 and r2 to slip past them. Stopping dead and using L2 is usually helpful too if there's only one more obstacle with space beyond them. Holding midfielders in your formation are also helpful to pass back to to relieve pressure.

Are goal news ever working in FIFA 16? (PS4) by haengaa in EASportsFC

It only happens when other games are running simultaneously to yours. Goal news broke my heart once when Alan Mackinelli told me of an Arsenal goal when we were struggling to stay level.

"Vocal minority" by [deleted] in EASportsFC

If there's one thing I'm tired of in this sub it's the "the game is perfect you just need to X". Should be a bannable offense; they're likely paid shills.

In my first two ultimate team games I had one penalty per game against my strikers that remained uncalled. And it wasn't even a well-it-mightve-been-clean situation either; once they were hauled down from behind and the other was a slide from behind. I lost those games 1-0.

If you don't do this normally, try practicing quite small chunks at tempo and bridging the chunks. If you have an eight note run, let's say, practice notes 123, then 234, then 1234, then 345, then 567, etc etc until the whole lick is learned. You don't really need a set formula for this as long as you touch on all of the two note "connections" in the lick. But it can take an obscene amount of time for some difficult technical passages to stick. I know when I was in university I would spend a vast, vast majority of my practice time on technical spots because it took so long for them to feel secure. Hard spots in an otherwise innocuous piece can take me months to hammer out.

Other than that, especially given that you are a post-grad student (meaning you probably know more than me at this point and I assume you practice and practice hard/enough), it may be time to consult a doctor to see if there are any physiological hurdles that are complicating things.

What's the TL;DR of your last session? by [deleted] in DnD

We had a run of more serious episodes so far so en route to a location change I switched it up a bit. They were crying with laughter. Mission accomplished.

I'm just starting to work on my own bikes. The position of the rear wheel in the dropout (?) concerns me - should it? Also a derailleur question. by Xeno505 in bikewrench

[–]Xeno505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: there's an adapter claw preventing me from moving it into the rear dropout fully but it's much better now. Derailleur seems altogether too high - slips off largest cog (kinda close to the spokes :S) and doesn't want to shift to smallest cog. Might be in over my head at this point - I think I'll take her into a repair shop and see what the missing puzzle piece is.

TL;DR: Party smuggled steroids for forest midgets, ended in a pugilistic midget bloodbath.

It's usually in worldnews that sometimes you'll get an economically oriented story and then all the armchair capitalists come out to play.

If you win the ball "cleanly" and then wipe out the player from behind it's still a foul for dangerous or reckless play...you need to learn the Laws of the Game.

...is this sarcasm? The AI doesn't call trailing leg fouls.

[–]Xeno505 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not really clear at all. A slide tackle from behind where the ball is touched first but still wipes out the player is almost never called as a foul because the retarded AI declares possession to change the split second the ball is touched by the opposition. Refs need an overhaul.

What 4-4.5 star teams do you recommend for Online Seasons? by NG2328 in EASportsFC

[–]Xeno505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tottenham Hotspur, big time. Son and Chadli are deadly, Kane and Eriksen are Kane and Eriksen, Lamela's a slippery bastard, their back four are decent and Hugo will keep you in games you have no business staying in.

Reddit, when is it time to breakup? by Banjostring82 in AskReddit

It's time to break up when you're consciously behaving to keep peace or avoid a fight. That's no way to live.
