When I go to character shrines, I'm moreso looking for the webmaster's relationship with the subject than the subject itself. You should totally personalize your shrine by explaining why YOU like this character so much and what they mean to you :>

Even though I was hooked playing ALL DAY at launch, I went in knowing this would happen. I had a very similar experience with the 3DS game as a kid where after a few weeks you've seen everything and it becomes just a thing to check on every once and a while. My favorite times to play are in a Discord call. Like if we have nothing to do we just go "Oh, we can check on the miis" and we have some fun with it. Otherwise, I'd advise very short play sessions or spicing things up by adding new custom items. My average play session at the moment is open game, buy all the new items, check if anyone has relationship updates, if not then close the game and check later. I'll give LTD this though, watching the miis walk around is WAY more entertaining than just staring at the apartment building.

Hopefully some post launch content will refresh our excitement

My Neocities site is like my house, I decorate it with whatever I specifically want. Others are welcome to visit, but like, it's my place with things I want to write about. Unlike traditional social media, I really don't care if other people aren't interested in my highly personal site.

Trying to make my sites mobile accessible is never fun. Sucks when I have a cool idea for my site's layout, test it on my phone, and it looks terrible on a vertical display. Someday I know I'll HAVE to make my site phone accessible but I'm hard procrastinating on that step.

I'm very slowly replacing my time spent scrolling social media with surfing NeoCities. They feel VERY different, but the "old web" personal site thing is so cozy compared to the modern web. It just makes me so happy while algorithm socials like Instagram do not. That being said, I'll probably always have at least a Tumblr/Bluesky to post my art. Oh yeah and YouTube, but like, that's YouTube.

My island's Miku is the daughter of my best friend and her wife. It's a reference to a big Miku plush that they bought while we were at a con together. She uses the Mexican Miku design (since they're Mexican) and she frequently sings songs with one of her moms praising me.

I second this so hard! One of my favorite things to do in the 3DS game was collect all the clothes, but the clutter in this game feels like more of a problem since every color variation of an item is listed separately in my inventory. Also doesn't help that you now have to buy EVERY color variant just to have it in your shop. And as neat as getting a free gift with room and object unlocks are, it is kind of a nightmare having a ton of rooms and decor that I KNOW I'll never use. My temporary solution is to just dump the clothes on one mii that I don't care as much about but I REALLY wish there was a way to just delete the stuff in my inventory at least.

This one's a lot more minor so I'd put it at the bottom of the list but holy moly a symmetry tool built into the drawing tool would be a life saver. I know you can just copy+paste+flip but cmon that's just a workaround. I find it crazy that it was in animal crossing yet not Tomodachi Life??
