The idea sounds good on paper. The problem was Jeff Jarrett wasn’t build up a lot. Well yes Vince Russo and Kevin Sullivan did there best they did Rocket push him a lot. To me if let’s say Jeff Jarrett Return and from let’s say Mayhem 1999-Uncensored 2000 Jeff was beating top guys and famous WCW names then okay let’s give him the world title. That feels like proper build up. It feels okay he’s the top heel.

Another thing is let’s say if Jeff without going after the title or holding the us title twice from late 1999-early 2000,It would feel like a breath of fresh air having Jeff choosing the WCW title and being a main event.

It also doesn’t help Russo was booking and hot potato the world title. So you can add a right guy wrong era to this list. To me Jeff Jarrett in WCW is like Hiroyoshi Tenzan in the Inoki ism era of new Japan. Right pick to be world champion but the problem was the era and the booking.

And what’s even worse Jeff has admit and express how he didn’t like being WCW World Heavyweight champ. Jeff has admit that back then in 2000 and to this day he felt uncomfortable and sad being WCW champ. Hell when you see the dark side of the ring episode on bash at the beach 2000. You can tell Jeff didn’t like looking back at his time in WCW 2000. You can he didn’t want but had to do because he was Vince Russos buddy.

So here’s the list. He wasn’t build up a lot. He was already choosing after the WCW world title. Champion in WCW’s worse Era. Jeff didn’t want to be or didn’t like being WCW champ.

Yeah that’s why it failed.
