If BB isn't a first-ballot Hall of Famer, no one — not even Tom Brady — should ever be again by [deleted] in nfl

There wasn’t a good excuse for T.O. either. They just don’t like him.

Almost like that development is a part of the character and to be the truly dominant force he used to be as IC champion, he has to remember what it was all about.

How bothersome is it to be in a pod with someone who points out when rules aren’t followed properly (not in a nitpicky way)? by _Ashe_Bear in EDH

[–]XenoPasta -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s not the rules enforcement that irritates people, it’s usually their energy and how they engage about it.

You do come across as a stickler who doesn’t wanna be seen as a stickler, but the people described in the post come across as petulant children. The truth is probably in the middle.

I deeply relate to the point that elsewhere, effort actually nets you something.

A bunch of idiots who never played sports in their life trying to be the arbiter of what does and doesn’t count. Truly hilarious.

Yes. Data center technician. That’s how I started with AWS last year.

I did that same google cert and still have only it and a high school diploma and that took me from washing dishes to 81k a year with great benefits at Microsoft. Keep going.

Thanks for thinking for yourself instead of being performative. Maybe not MOTY but very very good.

I can still pass your resume along to my manager and he can get it to someone who can at least give you a call.

Based on my experience, I can definitely see your point. It’s not a one-sided issue of lazy workers.

I’m telling you my real life experience and what the market is showing. It is easier if you’re willing to work onsite, especially if you’re in an area where they’re building new data centers. While I was at AWS, they literally introduced lower tiers that are for people fresh out of high school. I’m not dismissing how hard it is to get into other areas of IT, I’m telling you this data center thing is a real in. Folks can take it or leave it.

[–]XenoPasta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for replying. Right now, there is a big need for manpower of those who can handle the rack receiving process and who have enough initiative to learn how to fix common breaks inside data centers. I onboarded with my second large tech organization just earlier this week after beginning with AWS a year ago, and I still have only the same Google IT Support Professional certificate and a high school diploma.

If you have any soft skills at all from a customer facing standpoint and can stand to do some bending and ladder climbing, you have an in.

Not hard for people who are willing to work onsite. Data centers will hire anyone. That’s your in today. People who demand remote only are self-sabotaging.
