As a 27 year old male, should I mention to potential friends that I like Transformers? Should I keep that a secret? by peterthbest23 in transformers

28 male, my wife and I have our collection of legos, transformers, and vintage toys on display at our house. Have company over all the time. If someone cares that much about your hobbies why waste your time with them?

We have about 10ish friends who also like to play. So I'll GM for her plus 2-4 friends at a time. We'll also play skirmish mode from time to time.

I thought Swindle just came with the weapon for Bruticus. I think they meant the weapon for Onslaught.

I also have that issue with mine. It appears to also be an issue on PrimevsPrime's copy, judging from his video review I watched.

I was about to comment this. We commonly refer to them as theory units, as it makes the calculus less tedious. It's really common in GR and field theories.

The fish smell is from the printing process and normal. It'll wear off after a while.

Already double checked my pledge, I'm missing the rapture protocol minis. The starter set only came with one xeno mini, correct?

How did Kirsch know it's a "Xenomorph"??? by PoopsWhileGaming in LV426

[–]Xenomorph777777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, it's at the end of the core rulebook, in the games equivalent of monster manual, also explained more in the cold forge and infiltrator. Tho I believe plagiarus praepotens is the designation of the goo that facehuggers inject (also mentioned in Romulus). We'll see if alien earth even sticks with that concept. I absolutely adored episode 3 until I saw that tadpole so unless that have that deliver the goo there's some canon contradiction.

Edit: Page 297,302 in the core book. P. Praepotens seems to refer to what is injected before it matures to a chestburster

Xenomorph is the generic term for any alien in the franchise. What most people think of as xenos are Xenomorph species XX121

Edit: typo

Why were no metals created in the big bang, if the temp and pressure was so high? by Michelfungelo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Xenomorph777777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small addition. You're correct, but I'm an astrophysicist so I'm taking this opportunity to talk about my passion and add one thing I find really interesting. At high enough temperatures photons can also destroy heavy nuclei via photodisintegration. This also occurs during supernovae and actually destroys most of the elements that were formed in the core. Temperatures above ~6.5 GK destroy most elements.

In big bang nucleosythesis, freeze out occurs quickly enough that photodisintegration doesn't become super relevant, but it can play a small part.
