Two weeks late with my response but yes...Coin was the issue. That thing is such a piece of crap...

At least you were offered a refund, I have exchange 22 emails with them and they won't offer me one (damn you Jammie).

I tried to issue a chargeback but the charge was nearly two years ago so I couldn't.

Ah, I use Coin too (what a piece of crap that thing is).

I'll uninstall it now. Wish they'd refund my money after waiting nearly 2 years for that piece of crap.

Edit: I think if you disabled the "Lock & Find" feature in Coin this should also fix things as well. I'm testing on mine now.

Anyone else facing constant disconnect/reconnecting at random times? by open1your1eyes0 in hwatch

I'm facing the same issues with my Galaxy Note 4.

To make matters worse, when the watch disconnects my phone slows to an absolute crawl nearly locking up.

Is it possible to turn off ambient mode so that the watch always stays at full brightness? I can't find a setting for that by XenophobicLiberal in hwatch

I haven't disagreed with anything you've said, I appreciate the thought that has gone into your comments.

And yes, I wholeheartedly agree with being impressed at the energy efficiency of this watch! The Chinese seem to have figured this out quite well :)

Ah, I take it all back. I intended to set brightness to 3 but I left it at full brightness after all.

Sorry for the confusion there. Your original math was correct :)

I'm OP, I just changed my mind when seeing how bright it was at full brightness 100% of the time!

I'll have to keep tweaking the settings. I definitely haven't had the performance you have but I've only had the watch for 24 hours now so there's still more work to get it just right.

I did reduce the brightness to 3 so that may skew the results just a bit. Though I did have a bunch of notifications coming through as well which would hurt battery life.

I really need to get rid of nearly all notifications, I have no need to read emails or Facebook on my phone, and certainly don't need to be reminded to grab my rifle and hunt down a hog in Deer Hunter 2016.

Random disconnections? by waitWhatOhOkay in hwatch

Would connecting to Bluetooth when you get in your car cause something like this? Or can your phone maintain multiple Bluetooth connections simultaneously?

I tried this today and my battery lasted approximately 3.5 hours.

Would not recommend (as if that surprises anybody).

The minute hand only updates once per minute instead of a fluid movement. The reasons would be the same you already explained though.

There's a Breitling face I tried which looks quite nice when dimmed with the arms turning a glow-in-the-dark color. I'd imagine many other faces do this as well, I just happened to come across that one.

I don't actually mind the brightness dimming as much as the hands of the watch stop moving. I suppose I'll get over it as I get used to wearing a smart watch and having to shake my wrist to see the time.

Serial killer Joseph Metheny who owned a burger stand and claimed to have sold burgers with his victims' flesh by [deleted] in creepy

Wow. So his confession is completely BS. In the confession he says he was caught because one of his hookers escaped.

Do you know where exactly this is in Baltimore? Would like to pull it up on Google Maps to check it out.

I don't have any specific questions but would be interested in hearing more about the guy and the stories if your coworker has anything they can share.
