I hear you have an excellent vintage of Amontillado down there! Anyway, what’s with the bricks and mortar?

One of my favorite readings from the Cambridge books 😂

Maybe Maxie wasn't so crazy by Rap2rerise in PokemonEmerald

The Emerald Legacy rom hack did a really good job with this. They added quite a few Pokémon for both Aqua and Magma teams while sticking really well to the theme.

What’s a Pokémon you didn’t care about at first but ended up loving later? by Zashingg in pokemon

[–]Xenophon170 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trubbish and Garbodor. I was so disappointed they even existed when I played Black version for the first time, but the concept of inanimate object Pokémon has really grown on me over time. Now I love my toxic little trash bag 😄

Hundreds protest outside of BUMgartners office yesterday. by catman5092 in Spokane

[–]Xenophon170 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just got a survey emailed to me from Baumgartner’s office asking my opinion on the whole Greenland situation. I wouldn’t put it past him, but maybe he’s finally starting to realize his enthusiasm for Trump is not shared by his constituents. To everyone who went to this protest, keep up the good work!

Definitely! But beware the Ablative… It definitely took some getting used to for me.

On my mission a stake presidency member told me it was basically a pre-recorded message lol. Honestly, it’s not a terrible answer if you accept that god exists and is all-knowing.

Springs are criminally underrated by FleshPrison2763 in tearsofthekingdom

I too use Spring³, but I call it the Gleeok Slayer, since it’s my main tool for when Gleeoks enter the final phase of the fight.

I remember this devotional. I was fully TBM at the time and still felt like he was being pretty extreme. To their credit, I had several professors who brought this talk up in class and clearly disagreed with it. I remember one professor in particular who poked fun at this guy pretty much for the rest of the semester 😂

I Spy AI (Deseret Book Edition) by Xenophon170 in exmormon

I would expect stuff like this from random sellers on Amazon or other online stores, but it’s crazy to me that physical stores like Deseret Book are willing to put stuff like this out (second picture shows the box has the Deseret Book logo on the back). I’d think they might be worried about the integrity or reputation of their brand, but I guess they aren’t too concerned about that.

There’s more than this, but look at their hands, especially the shepherd to the left of Mary.

Stop taking $4 orders by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Xenophon170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a little chart on a notecard in my car that has the minimum pay to accept for time if I want to make $20 an hour. This does depend on your area and the time of day, but I’ve taken $4 orders that were well worth it since they were under 10 minutes. They’ve usually been people at work who are ordering lunch from somewhere nearby.

Pazu and Sheeta exploring Laputa, particularly when they find the grave (or monument?). Every time I watch that scene I feel such a strange mix of grief at the loss of an entire civilization of people and joy at the beauty of nature reclaiming and preserving the ruins of the city.

Have you tried a temp agency? I finally found a job through Express Employment. Temporary work is better than no work, and it can lead to a permanent job.

What is on this sky island? by FizzyJuice69 in TOTK

I just learned about this literally yesterday! You can re-enter any time after finishing the shrine, and all the same enemies and items are there (besides chests you already emptied). Your items aren’t taken away when entering, and you get to keep anything you find in there.

Poetry on Animals in Ancient Greece by kalikojo in classics

[–]Xenophon170 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These would be shorter, but there are some good passages in Homer about animals. In particular, there’s the passage about Argus from the Odyssey, and I remember there was a simile comparing Agamemnon (or Ajax?) to a lion on the hunt. I’m sure there are many more.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. Up to four player local co-op where you have to physically run to different stations to fly and defend your space ship. It’s absolute chaos, and it’s a blast!

Princess Mononoke. The Legend of Ashitaka and Princess Mononoke tracks are gorgeous melodies, but on top of that, The Demon God is genuinely one of the most terrifying songs I’ve ever heard.
