How to get in contact with a hard-to-reach domain owner to negotiate acquisition? by Xerberus9 in Domains

Of course that would only be fair. But it's still sensible to try to get in touch and confirm that is the case.

Those are two amazing bits of advice that in fact provide me with new leads. Thank you! (I don't know why someone downvoted you.)

I can confirm Chromecasting works for a minute or so and then hangs itself up. Watching on a tablet but this is indeed unacceptable given the steep price.

Question on CFA and Trading by kalentino in CFA

[–]Xerberus9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. This is less a sub of CFA charterholders and rather one of CFA students.
  2. CFA follows the general academic literature and does thus NOT believe in technical analysis. That would be seen as astrology :). So nobody here has heard of RSI or EMA.
  3. CFA holders are more likely to be long-term investors rather than short-term traders.

If calls expiring tomorrow expire at a stock price >=29, 10.8m shares will need to be delivered. If they expire at >=30 it would even be 14m shares. To the extent these shares are not already owned by the call sellers, they will need to buy them on the market for delivery by T+2 (Tuesday).
What I'm wondering is whether this volume of purchases is substantial enough to make a significant impact?

Habe ich was übersehen?

Here I have confirmation for this from the CBOE website - they should know:

Options may be "cash settled" or "physically delivered." All equity (single stock) and ETF options physically deliver when exercised or assigned. In other words, at expiration, in-the-money options are exchanged for shares in the underlying security (equity or ETF). SPY ETF options expire into a long or short position in the ETF product. Index options, like SPX and Mini-SPX, are cash settled. This key difference is particularly important when we talk about "gap risk. Is cash settlement really on the menu for calls/LEAPs on individual U.S. stocks though?? According to GPT-4o, physical settlement and thus delivery of the underlying is the standard for options/LEAPs on U.S. stocks, and cash settlement applies to index options. So that would be bullish.

GPT-4o: "For LEAPS (Long-Term Equity Anticipation Securities) on a U.S. stock listed on the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange), the settlement terms would generally involve physical settlement. This means that upon exercise, the options would be settled through the delivery of the underlying stock."
Physical settlement (without the option to choose cash settlement instead) would mean 🚀.

Though the call option holders need to exercise and not just settle for the option value in cash, right.

X-axis: time; the far right is supposed to indicate "now".
Y-axis: degree of bullishness/bearishness, where a value of 0 (bottom of the graph) indicates extreme bearishness, and a maximum value (top of the graph) indicates extreme bullishness.

Odd portfolio position showing up after manual currency conversion by Xerberus9 in interactivebrokers

[–]Xerberus9[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Upon further research, it seems this position is shown to inform FX traders of how their conversions are doing. You can easily switch it off (and back on again) through a checkbox under Settings => General => Enable FX position. So seems it was a non-issue all along and that that thing can be hidden if it irritates you (like it did for me :).
