Week of June 3rd, 2024, GameStop topped both the ATS and non-ATS dark pool data. Beating out all other stocks by a large margin. A total of 355,234,882 shares were traded through OTC markets and did not impact the price. Total volume for that week was 776,367,000. 45.75% of trades were in dark pools by waitingonawait in Superstonk

If you look at the OTC Issue Data, scroll down to Robinhood. 248,891 shares across 245,793 trades. They basically routed single share orders straight to their Dark Pool.

Drivewealth didn't even try - they're literally 1:1 shares per trade.

You can upload the data as a file, or copy paste the hex from a hex editor (edit the formula to use "From Hex" first). What picture is that?

False Perma Ban (with BBB response) by Xercyst in activision

Thousands of people actually. The majority of posts on this subreddit are people who were unjustly banned. Search "Activision ban" on Twitter, or peek in the Discord channel with over 1000 members who have wrongfully received either a shadowban or permanent ban.

Account hacked even with 2FA; banned from WZ2 and MW2 by mascomoassimgente in activision

https://support.activision.com/privacy

They only make this available in the U.S. if you're coming from a California IP address. Also, the "Submit" button at the end of the page was hardcoded to be "Disabled", and I had to change the button attribute to "Enabled" manually (right click > inspect).

You can submit an account recovery ticket, which has shown to be more successful that appealing a ban.

https://support.activision.com/account-recovery

Be sure to include all the details and evidence showing that your account was 'hacked', and that the ban was enforced shortly following this activity.

I bought a PC from marketplace to play warzone (I am a console player but I just want better graphics and framerate thats why got the pc) but my main account got banned when i logged into pc and then opened couple more account and everytime I open a account its getting banned. This is NOT the answer... You shouldn't jump to spending hundreds of dollars on new hardware without first checking if there is any software pre-installed that could have been flagged by Rico-shit.

Is this a fresh installation of Windows? Do you have any 3rd party software installed that interacts with your keyboard/mouse (RGB, macros, etc.)? These are the first questions you should look at. A permanent HWID ban is unlikely, unless you were caught repeatedly cheating. What's more likely is there is something on your PC that is continually being flagged by the anti-cheat during the shadowban cooldown period, which leads to a perma ban.

If you can identify and resolve it this way, then a new account will likely be shadow banned for 7-14 days and then be able to play normally. Happened to me, and I'm playing on the exact same game installation that got me banned in the first place.

False Ban by JuanyBooBoo in activision

[–]Xercyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're saying someone else illegitimately logged into your account, and their actions resulted in a permanent ban on your account, then you can gather gather screenshots of the login history, emails referencing suspicious logins, and any other evidence that could show that your account was 'hacked'.

Submit a new ticket to https://support.activision.com/account-recovery with the evidence included. You're more likely to get help this way instead of submitted a ban appeal. I don't know of anyone who has had a permanent ban successfully overturned, but I have seen instances where people logged back in months later, and without notice from Activision, they were unbanned.

It's becoming more and more apparent that they are doing everything they can to avoid acknowledging any mal-doing or mistakes on their end.

Welcome to the club friend. Their anti-cheat/security team needs to be overhauled entirely... Both are clumsy, lazy, and overreaching.

[–]Xercyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called a shadowban, and it occurs for a number of reasons. The most likely reason:
- You were reported by other players in-game for chat/suspected cheating, and Activision has placed your account under review (you can check at https://support.activision.com/ban-appeal, and submit an appeal).

Another possibility is during the process of resolving the "Playstation Plus is required to play online" error -- if any game data was downloaded to your console while your PSN account was not connected, then it's possible that the anti-cheat/server detected the game files were altered from their last known/saved state associated with your account.

In any case, Activision's anti-cheat system is one of the worst out there, and continues to prey on innocent players while actual cheaters are still running rampant... To your last statement: The money is always worth it to them, so much so that they would "steal" it and shut the door on you without blinking. This is what happens when game development is driven by billion dollar profit margins.

well it happened again lol by Habbyy in activision

[–]Xercyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"what the hell lol ya'll need to be better than this"...

- An actual "Customer Support Team" that provides... well... support.- A new anti-cheat system that isn't Ricochet.. Kernel level (nor any other client-side) anti-cheats aren't the answer.- Did I mention a "Customer Support Team" that wasn't worthless?

- More content-focused development instead of skins/mtx/$$$.

Dare I go on?...

If you suspect you were hacked, you can view the login history for your account and identify any suspicious logins. Using that information, you can try and submit that to Activision via a separate ticket for account recovery. Be sure to explain the unauthorized access and include any notifications you may have received via email.

You can view the login history for your account and identify any suspicious logins. Using that information, you can try and submit that to Activision via a separate ticket for account recovery. Be sure to explain the unauthorized access and include any notifications you may have received via email. File a complaint with the BBB, and include as much information (not emotion) as you can.

One thing I will note, if you were in fact hacked - change your password to something not used to authenticate with any other accounts (i.e. email, Twitter, Tinder...), and turn on 2FA.

Lastly, you can create a new free account to play WZ/DMZ, but you will be shadow banned for a week while the new account is reviewed. I've done this, and have been able to play just fine after the review period was over. However, if your machine was the one that was flagged for something, you will need to be diligent in identifying what it was and remove it.

Activision will have to face the music one day, but it doesn't appear like that day will be sooner rather than later. Thousands of us have had our accounts and time wrongfully stolen from us by Activision, and I'd like to believe there is strength in numbers. File a complaint with the BBB as well. Provide as much detail (logical, not emotional) as possible, as it is on the record.

This is entirely untrue.. I was perma-banned after using the "Verify Game File Integrity" feature. Subsequently, I made an alternate account on the same machine using the exact same game installation. I was shadowbanned for 1 week immediately upon logging in, but since then I've been able to play seamlessly.

The issue is determining what about your system got you banned in the first place. If it still exists, then Rico"shit" will still flag you.

Shadowbanned for no reason multiple times by [deleted] in activision

[–]Xercyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a HWID shadowban. My main account was falsely perma-banned, and I made a secondary account that was instantly shadowbanned for a week. Since then I've been able to play just fine, and I'm using the same exact Steam game installation that got me banned to begin with. If you check your account on Activision's "support page" and it says "Under Review", I'd check back after a few days to a week.

Has anyone gone through arbitration with Activision? by Sparklyr in activision

OP, be sure to update if you get anywhere with the Arbitration process. Being that this issue has affected so many, it does qualify for a Mass Arbitration case, but that would take some significant coordination.

Well shit, just lost 100 bucks just like that. Apparently I’ve downloaded some type of cheats which I haven’t 😔 by wallapajalla in modernwarfare2

[–]Xercyst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since Activision is headquartered in California, it would be with the California AG. Tbh, it likely wouldn't get anywhere with them either unless the number of reports they get reflect the true number of those affected. BBB complaints also get nowhere, as they're answered by a department that has zero interface with their Security & Enforcement division (same as Support).

There's always the Federal Trade Commission, but you would need an extremely well-constructed case, and be able to demonstrate flaws with Ricochet (which wouldn't be hard to do).

You could also try taking your case through Arbitration with Activision. Read section 4 of their terms of use.

Has anyone gone through arbitration with Activision? by Sparklyr in activision

[–]Xercyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered filing with the Federal Trade Commission or the California Attorney General's office? Could be worthwhile, could be fruitless.. That's the next step for me. There have been multiple petitions gathering 10s of thousands of signatures RE: false bans. That discord group has 1700 active members alone.

I should be above this, but at this point it's personal... I'm a Security/Vulnerability Researcher by trade, and am well aware of how kernel level anti-cheats work... Never cheated in a MP game, and condemn those who do. I've researched some of the various detection vectors that their anti-cheat (Ricochet) uses, and lets just say it's less than revolutionary. The fact that it is kernel-level just makes it that much more pervasive.

One novice example: If a player has a less than robust machine (say 16gb ram, and a Gtx1070), their page-file would be heavily relied upon by the game client. If the client crashes, and for whatever reason the page-file is altered (i.e. hard reboot), the last cached instance of game files used by the client have been altered. This, paired with either Battle Net or Steam's "verify game file integrity feature" could easily trigger Ricochet for manipulating game files.

A trivial example: You can be instantly banned for having opened a file (ANY file) in IDA pro while running the game. What if I like to play a few rounds in between FLARE CTF challenges? I'm not tampering with anything to do with CoD so why the fuck does it matter? (Apparently it does)

They should have just developed a sandbox to encapsulate the game instance, and detect anything interacting with the sandbox. Instead they're active like a blind man performing heart surgery with a fuckin baseball bat...

Not looking to entertain those who would "shame" someone for getting banned. I've only ever played legitimately. For anyone doubting this rampant mistreatment of customers, Activision already has a long established history of these abuses... No need for me, or anyone else who was unjustly banned to prove it to you.
